When is the new C6 nose coming out ??

I've read that if the manufacture does not put a place for a front plate on, you dont have to put a front plate on. The Corvette is not the only manufacture to delete the front plate option. I don't think this is a concern to Chevrolet.

    pistonslap.com

.02 cents worth Get it diagnosised and taken care of before your gmpp runs out. Thats what the policy is for. I've heard piston slap before. you dont want it. And the colder it is, the louder it is. It's not the noise's you want coming from under your hood.

    Nothing like cruising

It is great to be an American and driving a Vette. Sittin low, cruzin, it was a nice day here today in Western PA. No bugs to scrap, salt seems to be gone, no water on the roads. And cool temperatures in the 50's for some nice horsepower making condensed air. Kids are still in school, so...

    What color to paint calipers?

I think a contrasting color would be better. How about gold, like the brembo's ?

    About the ignition wires...

droan I have cat back flowmasters on mine. Any gear, about 1600/1800 rpm, those babys are making such a resonating noise! Other than than, they are great. You may need to know if they are factory or not. I hear factory dont make noises inside, but they dont sound as good as flowmasters...

My lady presented me with a tempting deal! AHHH

tempting offer? First off, I'm amazed at amount of responses to this thread in such a short time. I've read them all. And I gotta say, if my girlfriend came home and said, 'hey honey, why dont you sell your Vette and we move in with my mom and dad in another state', I'd run. Fast and long...

    Replaced rear wheel bearing

torque When my spline started making the noise, I tried over torquing the nut. Of course this did nothing, and I can't image it being good for the bearing. Once it fails/worn, it's failed/worn.

    Replaced rear wheel bearing

I've read 50,000 is what to expect of rear wheel bearing life. The price of performance? Like you said, they are not that big a deal to replace.

    A riddle, what is this?

leak :lou I'm with you, doctor-t, I would change the gasket. I hate leaks, smelling and smokin, leaking on my floor. Your going to be close with the exhast off. 200 ft lbs thought, you will need a big pipe to break that mother loose. They are easy to come by. You do enough work on cars, you...

    Replaced rear wheel bearing

I bought an Advanced Auto bearing. I thought if I only got 36 thousand miles out of the factory hub, I wasnt going to buy the same kind. :lou I expect hubs to last longer than that. It may have had something wrong with it, by the previous owner, and thus not the hubs fault. Eather way, it...

    Replaced rear wheel bearing

specs .005 inch of movement is the maximum factory spec, measured with the rotor held in place with 2 lug nuts, and the dial indicator is held in place on the center of the brake rotor. Wobble the rotor from the bottom and check the reading. Installing bigger rear wheels and tires usually...

    Replaced rear wheel bearing

click with 36,000 on my 94, I had a click from the rear when I pulled out. It was just one click, and you could only hear it with the window down. Turned out to be a spline noise in the wheel bearing hub. The half shaft spline was fine. Its not that bad of a job, takes a couple hours. Good...
