They all need HVAC programmers. The A/C will blow though the wrong vents. Very annoying, and the 96's have a specific problem, were as the 95's and below are vacumme problems.

the problem here is most people compare new tires to the old worn out tires. and that comparison is USELESS !! you have to compare NEW to NEW, with is difficult for most of use !

those readings are NOT from running rich, they are from a BAD EGR.

I have 5000 track miles on my LT4 and never blew up power steering anything. although it does whine when hot. even with red line fluid.

there is one horn relay and the output goes to both horns. remove the good horn and place it on the other side and see if she blows. dead horns are fairly common on C4. I have a 93 horn for sale if you need it. larry@ladyburd.com

if you want to get real technical... the GS factory brake pads are different from the regular 96 brake pads. GM shows 2 different part #'s. the only difference can be compound, as the pads are idential otherwise. Look on that same website that shows the calipers. BTW I use my 1996 brakes...

where is the tranny temp guage? is it a factory guage like the oil temp?? or you added one? (I wouldn't know since I have the zf6) I've been curious about tranny temps as I am considering adding a cooler to my van.

fans have NOTHING to do with this. they don't come on when the car is moving over a certain MPH.!

my 96 owners manual clearly shows the oil temp guage goes "orange" at 300-320. however it does not state a temperature. it says being in the shaded or close to the shaded area is too high. nothing definative. I know the idiot light comes on at 300.
