Amen Remo - You could probably use bear grease and get away with it and if someone did they'd say it was the best way to go. I'll stick with what it came with. No doubt other oils are just as good as Mobil One but........- This discussion is somewhat like the one about the best wax to use.
There's lots of choices out there. Some good some not so good. Unless you are doing something other than normal driving why use something other than what Chevy spec'd for the engine. They did their research. I've used Mobil 1 since day one and had no problems.
Sounds like it might be somewhat different from last year but......... last year we were located right on the outside of the turn at the beginning of the front straight next to the bridge going to the paddock. The was a small grandstand. Great spot. The sebring track map lists the area as Mobil...
Thanks Dave
We bought tix thru the Sebring ticket offfice a few weeks ago. We did go last year and it was terrific. Chevy and the museum did a wonderful job with this and I'm sure it will be the same this year. You won't regret going.
Compared to that 1985 that was splatered with a zillion colors of paint inside and out which I saw at Carlisle a couple years ago - this one looks pretty good. Being an Elky owner I like it.
Sounds like you may have an assembly manual. Check with Mid America or and of the other big suppliers. The have GM Service manuals for all years. That's what you need. You can pick up a Haynes or Chilton manual at the local parts store. They are helpful but not as complate as the GM ones
Has anyone heard whether GM and the museum will have a Corvette Corral at this years' Sebring race in March and if so where tix can be bought. The one last year was great.
That was caled a "flat rate" book. Every job or task had a set amount of time which the customer was charged no matter how long it took. Good (quick) mechanics could make extra hours by doing jobs quickly. I think that's all in the past now/
Don't fret about getting in and out. It's once you're in that counts. You should fit just fine. I've seen some very large dudes pop out of C-5s and always with a big smile. The joy of driving one of these cars far outweighs any negatives
