    ECM dead?

Not to be nit picky but without a MAF sensor where are those inputs coming from? It uses tables, specifically the Volumeteric Efficiency vs RPM, and VE vs RPM vs Temp. It calculates the amount of air based heavily on the VE tables. In tuning a SD system these are the tables that are adjusted...

    3rd brake light

Autozone, Advance, O'Rileys, Napa, and of the auto type places should have them. IIRC they are #24's, but I can't remember off the top of my head. I think my Haynes manual said they are not replaceable, but I opened mine up and it was a standard type bulb. This was on my '90. Seems like it...

    Custom Headlights

Yes it all came as a kit. Got them from Breathless Performance, you can find them on the web. www.breathlessperformance.com The kit was about $1000 and included everything needed, the headlight housings, the lexan covers, the light bracket, and the lights. The low beams are OEM for a Chevy...

Body repair and 1/4 panel replacement

There was a series of articles in Corvette Fever a while back about an older C4 that one of the writers picked up for cheap. It was pretty much a basket case, but he got it anyway. The whole purpose was to document and write the story of what it would take to fix the car up. One of the...

    ECM dead?

Negative! The '90 and '91 are speed density type fuel injection systems the '92-'96 are mass air flow type systems. The difference is the speed density uses tables to determine the amount of air entering the engine, while the mass air flow systems actually meter the amount of air entering the...

Oily "gunk" inside of front wheels..what's it from?

It is oily or more like grease? Check the lower ball joints and the boots. The boots may have a small rip or tear or just be dry rotted a bit and not holding the grease in. That would be my guess. Could be the uppers but the lowers are more typical to drip a bit of grease on the wheel. If...

LT4 Would you buy an LT4.....would you sell one?

True, True! A set of headers that fit a L98 will and do fit the LT4, its still a 23 degree head, same configuration of exhaust and intake ports. Like you said the LSx it a different animal (of the same color) LOL :w :pat G

    Transmissionbearing needing replacing?

The reccomended transmission lube is a motor oil. Its made by Castrol and used in the BMW M class motors, from what I have heard the actual reccomended oil can be purchased at any BMW dealer. Check out the zfdoc site he has some very good information on the transmissions, clutch hydraulics...

    Transmissionbearing needing replacing?

One other thing to think about is the flywheel. Does it have the original dual mass flywheel? Or has it been replaced with a single mass flywheel? This is a pretty common thing to do, due to the cost of the original dual mass. If it has been replaced it will be noisier, especially with the...

    New fuel injectors- recomendations?

I've heard this place is pretty good, but I don't have any experience with them myself. www.fiveomotorsport.com They have the Bosch/Ford 22 lb for $305.50 for 8 or the Bosch/Ford "blue tops" 24 lb for $369.50 just depends on what you want. :w :pat G

LT4 Would you buy an LT4.....would you sell one?

Incorrect. It can still be ordered in any of the Chevy of GMC 2500 or 3500 series trucks. That is unless you don't consider these passenger vehicles. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't though, they can be had with four doors, and to me that construes carrying more than just a driver...
