Autozone, Advance, O'Rileys, Napa, and of the auto type places should have them. IIRC they are #24's, but I can't remember off the top of my head. I think my Haynes manual said they are not replaceable, but I opened mine up and it was a standard type bulb. This was on my '90. Seems like it was two screws from the inside of the hatch that held the whole assembly on, just remove them and the whole thing comes off, be careful for the power wire.

My '88 shop manual says bulb # 891, 11 candle power. Thats for both coupes and verts.

I recall changing mine, they cost about $10 each.

...and if all your 3rd brake bulbs are out (at the same time), check your switch - located at the brake pedal.

Also, wear gloves, or otherwise protect the bulb from contact with your skin during installation. The oils on your hands may shorten bulb life.

Yep thats the one, also used for the fog lamp.

And yes wear gloves (disposable latex ones work well) when changing. I failed to do this and as soon as I tested mine, blew two new bulbs. :mad

Oh well live and learn.
