I have a weird problem on my 1988 C4, auto, when I start her cold she fires right up and runs great and you can put her gear and she moves both forward and backwards. Once she warms to the point the ECM kicks in she runs like crap and you have to keep the throttle up high and if you put her in gear she stalls (dies) like the trans is in forward and reverse at the same time ! No kidding here,, Like a trans brake,,,
To restart her in park or neutral you have to hold the peddle to the floor and she will start after cranking for for a while but once again runs like crap and have to keep the RPM up or will die even when not in gear.
Now,, let her sit overnight or long enough to be bone cold and she starts up and run fine until the ECM kicks in again,,
I am lost here,, not sure what to do,,
I could find another ECM and try that but at the price of one and actually finding one that seems like just throwing parts at the problem .
Best scenario would be finding one on loan but thats almost impossible.
Any thoughts ?
Oh,, and now she won`t start at all,, no power getting to the starter,, turn the key and nothing,, new battery ,,
,,
