nah just do this, go on ebay and buy one of those kits with the 15 codes and I think you plug it into the vats wiring (orange & white wires) or yellow & white wires cant remember. Then you do the slow process to find the right resistance.
The vats decoder box is expensive about 300 bucks if...
so were the hardtop decklids just drilled out softop decklids? My decklid only has 2 of the 5 mounting holes, I see where my hardtop has 2 outer mounting studs, and it at one time had something in the center as well, the side mounting things are intact as well. However my decklid doesn't have...
I am planning on using a 8746 ecm in my car (I think 8746 is the ecm but from a 89-92 f-body with 305 TBI) At any rate this ecm has VATS and I'de like to retain it since it doesn't look overly hard to integrate it into my factory wiring. However the question is will the VATS tumbler fit my 82...
I honestly don't care about the value if I did I would never drive it, nor do I plan on getting rid of it or driving it in 110 degree heat I have my 97 camaro to drive in the heat with. The corvette is simply going to be for mostly weekend fun thats all. There was nothing special about this...
You will need to cut down the pillar posts then box the rear and top of it. because towards the top of it there is a bracket that secures that pillar post to the wheel wells. you can do without the door wedges though, that pillar post should also have angle elongated holes if its like my 82...
I have had this harness for a few years and gave up on using it in my vette. It came from a 1991 camaro Z-28 with a automatic. It is a speed density harness in very nice shape but has 3 cuts that will be easy to fix, I recall the cuts to be the ignition coil feed and tach feed and one other...
Well everything is out of my car interior so now is the best time to do this a/c delete before everything goes back in it. I'm just going to leave my 82 controller in place unless 77-9-82 had a/c delete controllers.
I was actually hoping for a true a/c delete not just removing certain parts. My car will have a 1984 serpentine conversion so deleting the compressor and using a idler pulley shouldn't be a problem. I'm more concerned on how to properly delete the rest like the accumulator, receiver, and put a...
I'm considering doing this since I will probably drive the car with top off all the time anyways. But I'de like to do it with original type vette parts to completely eliminate my a/c system ..... Has anyone done this and will earlier parts work on a 82 to make it easier?
with all your suspension rebuilt especially the steering how does it drive and steer? and would you feel steeroids is a waste of money verses a completely rebuilt stock vette steering and suspension setup?
I think mine has right about 130k miles last time it was driven was about 10 years ago...
hey a quik question though. Would this very badly worn pilot bushing and it's ability to not support my input shaft cause my T-5 to shift weird and hang up between gears? This T-5 was rebuilt about a year ago and it all of a sudden started doing this. The ATF came out very clean, basically...
I tried it before and unless everything is a tight fit grease goes everywhere. Soap does awesome and after your done just take a screw driver and dig it out and no mess to clean up.
I had a old 1994 escort that did this windows would fog up worse with the defroster on. found that car had a seaping heater core after replacing it never had the problem again. when they do that its just enough to allow a lot of moisture into the car and generally you don't see a leak but...
