street legal RACE car. ditto, my friend had one a few years back. these cars the the closest thing to a street legal race car.....engine, brakes, transmission, etc.. alot of guys race them right out of the box with only wheel/tire changes!!!! a "tuned" M car will smoke any stock c5. oh yea.

doug, thanks for the heads up on this. this sounds like a big deal/issue. i'm perplexed that you and one other are the only response i've received on my post. perhaps not all 04's are affected. i don't like the sound of having to take the rear of the car apart to get to a "nut". anyway...

has anyone had the control arm washer/bushing recall done on an 04? it is necessary? thanks.

NO DRIVE...NO START. it's best to let it sit. been storing vetts for 27 years. if your not going to drive it..let it alone. get a battery tender for last models. older cars just remove the battery. just my experience.

sorry to hear about the crunch. ouch! i solved this very problem 31 years ago...i never by any other color than white...no metalic paints. yea, i know that its boring but paint is never a problem.
