    Glad to be here!

:welcome Congratulations on getting your Corvette up and running again. A car that old with so few miles can have some issues. Looking at your information, I see that your Ruby has the LT5. So, it's a ZR1 too. Nice!

    Help! Mice

Get the mice out and repair whatever damage they may have caused. I assume you're already doing that. Putting moth balls around the car port is a little messy as they will blow around. Put moth balls in the Vette, under the hood. Anywhere the mice like to be. Keep the grass mowed around the...

Time To Buy My Childhood Dream... Big HP-Solid Lifters!

I'm with Tom007 on this. Solid lifters are not for the faint of heart. They require a lot of routine adjusting. I'm thinking that you need to find the car you want and put the engine in it that gives the performance you want. Unless you're totally into a matching numbers car with resale...

Time To Buy My Childhood Dream... Big HP-Solid Lifters!

You might want to check out the LT1 C3s - small block 350/370HP, solid lifters. 1970/71 as I recall.

    When?

I was hoping to see one or two at the Michelin Bash at the NCM in April, but that was assuming the C8 would make the Detroit show. Probably not. I was also hoping to own one before 2020. Maybe not. I starting to really like the Pedestal Edition of the CTS V.

    Key Fob Problems

If you are using both fobs about the same amount of time, both should probably go dead about the same time. With the key fobs, replacing the batteries is the first thing I do before trying to see if something else is wrong. With my Vette and Caddys, I usually notice that the cars do not...

    When?

Does anyone hear have a straight answer on when the C8 will be unveiled and when it will go into production? I thought it would be unwrapped at the Detroit show in January but now, it looks like later in 2019 because of teething problems - electrical problems. Anybody?

Why is '53 - '62 considered the same generation?

As was previously mentioned, the generation labels were created by the media before GM jumped on it. I have an old Corvette book that called the 53-55 first generation, the 56-57 second generation and the 58-62 third generation due to the body style changes. Note, the writer didn't use the "C#"...

    Chaparral 2J

Took a little trip down to Midland, TX last week to see some Chaparrals - ones with big engines and big tires. Most of Jim Hall's Chaparral 2 cars that still exist are on display in the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum. They are kept in running condition and every so often they pull one out and...

largest tires without hitting body hwy/city driving,

It's a give and take world. You can go with the ZR1/Grand Sport rear tires and they work just fine (315/35/17) but, that tire will not fit in the spare tire holder. You have to put a flat 315 in the trunk, which means owning a coupe. Most 93-96 C4 came with 285/40/17 tires on the rear. You...

    Hi from the New Guy

Good advice. Test drive as many as you can find in your area. See how they feel and how they fit. Different options deliver different feelings with the driver.

    CB radios?

It's a regular 40 channel CB radio. I have a set of FRS walkie-talkie radios that don't get any use either. I'll let the grand kids figure out what to do with them. ;)
