    Amg E420?

    The AMG E55 has 469 HP / 516ft-lbs toque. It weighs over 4000 pounds. 4.4sec 0-60mph. No way his E420 will take a C5 or a CTS-V. I'd get a second opinion.:D

Cost of Tire Pressure Monitor Replacement?

Basically it is only a tire removal (The sensor has to be removed if done right)and (Reinstall sensor) mount tire and balance. Then reprogram the tire monitor system. $100 bucks for the sensor. Figure around $160 total. Anthing more than that I would complain to them.

    Mobil's misleading advertising

Has anyone noticed that the new Mobil Oil tv commercial for its Mobil Clean 5000 oil features a C6 covertible? Both Mobil and GM recommend using Mobil 1 (or GM's version of Mobil 1) full synthetic oil in a 2005 Corvette. That type of misleading advertising irks me.:mad

c5 vrs zo6 air filter lid

You lucky *&^%$#@ ! That's a great price! I am using the Blackwing replacement filter with a Z06 lid in my C5. You can really hear the air sucking into the intake it you stand in front of the car when it is idling. Much, much better than the paper filter.

    C5 Shocks/Tires

They will fit without tubbing. You should get the (active handling/ABS) computer flashed for the Z06 size tires. I have also heard that some people have replace a rubber bumper or cushion on the suspension and others have not. Here's an "old" article on changing the tires/wheels...

c5 vrs zo6 air filter lid

That is a really good solution but it costs three times as much as the Z06 lid and a K&N type replacement filter.

GM part number for Z06 Exhaust?

Look on www.gmdirect.com for the part # and price . You can find a used Z06 titanium exhaust (mufflers) for around $400-$600. A new GM Z06 Titanium exhaust cost around $1500 for the set.

    C5 Shocks/Tires

I've heard great things about 2004 Z06 Shocks (Made by Sachs). I am switching my Z51 shocks for these. I hope it reduces the rough ride without sacrificing handling. note: Bilsteins come in two flavors for the C5; HD or SP (sport).

c5 vrs zo6 air filter lid

I disconnected the air duct to the MAF unit and took the entire air cleaner assembly (off of its pins) out of the car and replace the filter and cover then reinstalled it as a complete unit. Then pushed it onto the pins and clamped the straps and tightend the air duct clamp. It is a bit of a...
