Lisbon is an easy 4 hour drive from my house. The boat may still be in Portugal for Christmas as well. If so it is only an hour out of Lisbon.
Lisbon is a great city surrounded by neat places to go on day trips. The best (& most expensive) restaurant is just out of town on the coast road...
Never lost a cam in a SBC but I saw one break in a Detroit Diesel boat engine. They tried to fix it on the cheap without tearing down the bottom end.
After the repairs the engine started ok and all the gages look good so we took the boat out for a test run.
A few seconds after the throttle...
Nice find!:D
I was in Germany last weekend as well. I only saw 1 Corvette. A C-6 ragtop that blew my rented Phord off of the Autobahn.
I met Stefan (82ColEd) and his family in Frankfurt. We had a great visit and he gave me 1st hand info on the people at CAC that I most want to meet.
From our...
I ran into a problem like this when building the SBC rock climber.
I made an extension for the rod by threading the servo rod out of the booster* and connecting it to a piece of threaded bar stock with a long barrel nut.
It has been working for over 5 years of serious off road trashing so I...
What exhaust headers, cats and mufflers are you using? I have long headers with 1 3/4¨ primaries, 3¨ true duals w/Randon hi-flow cats and Targa mufflers.
Again I have never run the 383 with stock exhaust so I can't say how bad the stock system was but it has always been my experience that no...
I wish we had some of those over here.
The best Euro drivers are the Brits and French. All the others are in a dead tie for worst.
Being fair this if the first generation of Spanish and Portuguese to have grown up with automobiles. When I arrived here in '86 only the land owners and new rich...
When did that ever stop the General?:eyerole
In 1977 I bought a new Olds Toronado. If you ran the passenger's window down at any speed over 80 MPH it would fly off of the car when you tried to run it back up.
After the second window the dealer refused to replace it in warranty so I went all...
Ken had been waiting for a Liver transplant for quite a while. Time ran out before a suitable Liver was found.
;helpIf you have not already Please sign up as an Organ Donor. We do not need em when we are gone and it might save someone else who is as good a man as Ken was.
See these threads...
That depends entirely on how much of the local wine one has consumed.:ugh
With the exception of the UK all of Euro-land drives on the right - same as the states; just a lot faster. On the Motorways I usually set the cruise control between 100 and 110 MPH.
Spain has one of the highest accident...
Which camshaft do you have?
Thunder's 383 pulls strong to about 5100 with the same intake that you are running. What TB are you using. I have a 52mm. I never tried the 383 with the stock TB so I can't say if it makes a difference or not.
Looking at the cost of intake systems forced air...
Welcome back Outlaw.:beer
The biggest change you will notice is that Ken is no longer with us; I miss his humor, advice and patience every time I have a problem with Thunder.
CAC is still the only place to be on the web.:w
The lower bolt on my AIR pump prevented the valve cover lifting straight up. I cut 3/16¨off the bolt so that the cover can be removed with out the hassle of removing the wiper motor.
Safe practice on all vehicles is to never Jump a car by putting the jumper cables on the battery terminals. This is to avoid a spark near the battery where it might be gassing. On automobiles without Jump Start terminals the standard procedure is to connect the Hot cable first to the dead...
