    1984 Corvette Doug Nash 4+3

Can you explain "extra movement" better? Are you talking about reducing the throw front-to-rear, or is your shifter moving around while in gear, or what? There are replacement pieces to shorten the throw (movement front/rear when shifting) but I installed a set in my 4+3 and honestly didn't...

    Spare Parts?

What sort of stuff are you looking for? I know I've got extra odds and ends in my garage, and I'm sure I'm not the only one here with that... [RICHR]

    Underhood Courtesy Lights

There aren't any fuses on the 87, but there are plugs on each side near the hood hinges. There's also at least one aftermarket kit that adds a switch inline right in back of the front driver's side wheel (well, that's the suggested location). The lights themselves have mercury switches in them...

Manual trans 4-3 pops out of gear

Pretty sure that means the 2nd-gear synchros are worn. My 86 does it occasionally if I run to high rpm's in 2nd and then abruptly lift, and I've heard a number of people experience the same problem. [RICHR]

    Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator

Glad to be of help. [RICHR]

    Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator

    Clockwise raises it on mine; I'd expect yours to be the same. You're tightening a spring. Mine you have to turn a LOT to get any noticeable difference, so maybe you didn't adjust it enough. [RICHR}

New TB, now intake hose wont fit!

I can say that the BBK 58 mm fits the stock accordian hose... I had one for a BRIEF time before getting a 52mm (58 is too much for most motors)... so I'm surprised you're having problems with the 52. Is it for the right year? [RICHR]

New TB, now intake hose wont fit!

Um. The outside diameter of the throttle body shouldn't have changed, just the inside. I used my original hose with my 52mm TB. Make sure you loosened the hose clamp fully and disconnect it from the MAF to get better leverage. [RICHR]

    86 roller rockers

Any time :) . If you need more xmas ideas, consider a set of stainless-steel braided brake lines and some speed-bleeders (makes installation of the lines easier)... you'll be amazed at how much better you'll stop. [RICHR]

    86 roller rockers

If this is going in a stock 86, you want 3/8" stud fitment, not 7/16". You'll also want new pushrods because the flat tappets may have worn down the originals somewhat. Someone else will answer to the springs, I'm sure, but I don't see any reason why you'd want dual-coil springs in a...

86 vacuum line diagram? for tpi

Any vacuum leak will definitely mess up your idle... The only other things running under the plenum that I can remember are the line to the fuel regulator (passenger side, at the rear, behind the EGR- metal dome, might be painted black, one vac line) and two lines that come off the back of the...

86 vacuum line diagram? for tpi

There's no real need for a diagram; I have one but it's real simple. There's a line from the bottom of the throttle body to the left port on the front of the solenoid, and a line from the right port on the solenoid to the EGR valve under the middle of the plenum. The diagram shows three boxes...

86 vacuum line diagram? for tpi

That's the EGR control solenoid. There should be two vacuum lines going to it, IIRC. One goes straight up to the bottom of the throttle body, one goes under the plenum to the EGR valve. [RICHR]

    idle problems

Also sounds like a possible vacuum leak that gets sealed when parts expand as they warm. TB gasket or intake gaskets? [RICHR]

Lingenfelter Super Ram, is it any good, need help !!

We considered using gasket-maker only (believe it WAS The Right Stuff, which I used on the intake manifold) but there's a decent thickness to the cardboard gaskets that helps place the pieces properly (well, helped in my case). We used a little Permatex Blue on the gaskets as well, but trying a...

Lingenfelter Super Ram, is it any good, need help !!

Problem: Machining, especially on newer units, is inconsistent. As a result, things don't line up right all the time, especially if you get parts that were manufactured at different times. Porting may be necessary. Problem: the gaskets are also inconsistent. They're made by MR Gasket, which...

Lingenfelter Super Ram, is it any good, need help !!

They can be a pain to seal right, but I like mine. I'm not dialed in yet completely, but with heads and cam and intake I've gained over 100 FWHP and the engine is still pulling when it used to be out of air. I've got a 4+3, and don't see where the torque curve is a disadvantage. [RICHR]

    86 interior lights

No prongs. I think you found the flasher relay (turn signals, etc). This is a flat black box about 2" on a side with no prongs or anything. [RICHR]

    Factory Radar Detector

I don't think GM would ever want to assume the liability for offering a factory radar detector... not to mention I don't see it in my 86 literature. However, several companies (including K40 and Passport) have offered remote radar detectors. Some are disguised so much that they'll do something...
