Can you tell me what this is?

My guess would be that the previous owner used this as a type of bumper, so that the top part of the door would not contact the channel before the door was in the closed position. Unlike a roadster channel which is adjustable, some find strange ways to try and get everything aligned correctly...

    New Corvettes on the block

There is a little place just across the road from me that would be perfect for you Mark. Loads of garage space, a barn with stalls for a dozen horses, and the three level house. The only problem is that there is only 8 john's in the house. Stepinwolf

    New Corvettes on the block

All is well, but like most builders , I have to much work to do, with too little time to do so. Stepinwolf

    New Corvettes on the block

As is often seen, I purchased them locally from someone who was forced out of the hobby, by his other half. There was also a 20 years collection of new, NOS, and used parts that went with the sale. Stepinwolf

    New Corvettes on the block

Just wanted to post a picture of the latest three Corvettes that I have recently purchased. All have their original drive-trains, and none have suffered any collision damage. The roadster is a 327 340Hp 4 speed, the 64 coupe is a family car with a 327 250Hp automatic. The 77 is a cool grocery...

Are C-1 and C-2 prices falling???

Why in the world would you want to sell your ride, Paul ? If you are serious, E-Me, robert.pelland@cgocable.ca I already have two customers on my list, that are looking for a 67 coupe. Stepinwolf

    Gimme a brake

For starters, yes my car has disk's and power steering, so the addition of the " Hydra-Boost " was a no brainier. As for your installation, it would be very easy for you to ad a power steering pump, ( even without the P/Steering ) in order to run the booster. As for how my car stops, there...

    Gimme a brake

Grumpy, as a rule, safety mandates that we pay just as much ( if not more ) attention to our stopping power, as we do with the going power. My roadster has vacuum power, but the engine in the coupe , like yourself does not have enough space for the booster. For this reason I decided to go with...

how do you polish rear tail light lenses '60?

It usually turns out to be too abrasive. When the plastic is in really bad shape, one thinks that the part has been made better, but if you look closely under a magnifying glass, you will see that it the complete part, is now covered with minut scratches. Stepinwolf

how do you polish rear tail light lenses '60?

For those of you who have not as yet seen this plastic buffing wheel that I referenced above, it is only soft string, glued to a wooden wheel center, and when used as described, you can actually buff your fingers without any damage or undue heat being generated. I have used this wheel and blue...

    Gimme a brake

Your decision to convert your Corvette to a duel master cylinder is a good idea, however be warned that removing the power brake booster is not. If you think that the stopping power right now is not something to write home about , wait until you try and stop the car with non-powered four...

    NOTE TO SELF :

John, so sorry to hear that you have not been well. I hope you can this turn around for the better, and soon. I have noticed over the years that we often have a tendency to take better care of our cars, then we do ourselves. However all is takes is some type of life threatening illness to...

Who else make Extended Fenders other then Corvette City?

I'm sorry to hear about the molds being owned by Steffen's. I had been told more then once in the past that they were definitely not his. Nothing would please me more then making my own, but for now I have too much going on to even think about it. However were I to engage in this type of...

    Rebuild console

The biggest pain in the ass is removing the it. Once on the work bench, all you need to do is pop a few rivet heads, clean everything up, and re-assemble it with a total of one ( 1 ) screw. Not exactly the toughest thing you will tackle on your Corvette. Stepinwolf
