The sending unit is the only thing bad so the high false reading wont hurt your engine. But if your oil pressure drops out of normal range you wont have anyway of knowing and that will hurt your engine.

I've never had to replace mine but I'm handy with a wrench so it would be the cost of the sensor for me. Not sure how much the sensor costs but its a pain to get to. Its behind the intake manifold.

The lug key should be in the drivers side rear compartment. There is a small indent where is designed to go. If your oil pressure is pegged you have a bad oil pressure sensor. This is a common issue on the C5.

I would have to say WAAAYY better. As far as the wheels go I like the chrome and if they are made for the C5 the TPS should fit. Check with the seller first though.
