    Hi beam stuck on

The switch is loose. I disconnected the rag joint and lowered the steering wheel (seems like Deja Vu all over again -10 years later. Lol). hope to finish this weekend.

So sorry to hear. I recall his postings in here. May he rest in peace and his family find solace in his love.

The Corvette Action Center Suffers a Loss

I think Bud's friend's name is Bud as well (I thought I heard it wrong, but why would she refer to him as "Bud's friend"??? Lol).

The Corvette Action Center Suffers a Loss

A day late and a dollar short, yet with a heavy heart I just found out about Bud's passing yesterday. And I feel like such a bad friend for not finding sooner, but a smile formed on my face about something that happened a few weeks back that helps explain that perhaps Bud tried to tell me. I...

    Hi beam stuck on

Has anyone had the hi beam setting stuck? Did you replace the switch or did a trick or quick fix corrected the problem?

    Question: Carb settings

I'm so proud of you guys. You figured it out, and although you are not there all the way, you are heading the right direction. Once you correct the tps setting, you should see vast improvements. Zero point fifty six volts tells the computer the engine is at idle. But when the i item sensor is...

Code 21: TPS test procedure help. Paging Gerry!

Wow. Sorry for the hugely late replay Tatortot, I will send you my phone # over PM so that you can text me when you have an issue. Here are a couple of old images I had posted before. The troubleshooting chart is talking about the TPS connectors A,B, and C.

Upgraded Brake Lines to SS Brake Line Set

I went out and got the shallowest ratchet closed end wrench, and shaved it a little bit. Taking them off was a breeze...getting them started without cross-threading the bolt was a PITA. :mad:L UPDATE: In my desperation, and following suggestions from many members, to include Tattortot and...

    Build Numbers

That's rare indeed, Mickey..:chuckle:chuckle .although it is possible...like half a vette in a junkyard. ;):L

Sad News about Dan and Prisicilla Samento

I met and was very grateful to Dan for hooking us up with the after-Gorge cruise, although I soon found myself in the second, most slower/wiser group of cruisers. :) What a horrific event (at many levels) for this tragedy to take place. May he find forgiveness from his surviving loved ones and...

    Poor MPG. Tune-up suggestions?

That is great news, Tattor. You have little by little fixed it to the point in which is improving. One thing to consider, is that with all the vacuum leak fixes, the engine will likely get out of adjustment because it had been adjusted before to make up the loss of vacuum signal. So you can...

    Poor MPG. Tune-up suggestions?

The connector is available. I am not home. So I cannot look up the part number, but it is available. :)

    Poor MPG. Tune-up suggestions?

Tattor, Check the routing on the hoses between carb and temperature sensor, and between vacuum motors and sensor. If they are backwards or reverse routing, it won't work like it should. :)

    Poor MPG. Tune-up suggestions?

Antz, I also was leaning the same way, but then I remember seen the flaps Open with the air cleaner off the engine, so I verified in the book, and the flaps are spring-loaded open. The THERMAC thermostat senses the air coming in and the bi-metalic leaf spring blocks vacuum signal (air bleed...

    A GOOD Friends Birth Day...

Not late while I am still celebrating it. :L i went out for breakfast with my daughter yesterday and then we went to see the newest XMen movie. Today, I get to BBQ some tri-tip. :) Thank you for the wishes. They are materializing. :D

    A GOOD Friends Birth Day...

Same to you, brotha. In my household we have the habit to stretch it a whole week (the celebration) because of the busyness everyone is in (and now more 'cause they are all grown up) and because of circles (like my kids got sung hB at school, then by family, and then by their own friends), so I...

    Craig Parliament (bossvette) Killed Sunday

I remember Craig with a smile on my face. When I first met him was through CAC, and then finally in person at Auburn, IN's Cruisefest. My first impression of him was that he conducted himself as a factory or blucollar worker from Detroit. I didn't realized that he had served 30 years at GM...

    A GOOD Friends Birth Day...

Thank you Bud and Jim! I appreciate the kind words. I took the day off as usual, except that it coincided with a special pass the guys recieved from their 4-star General. So I am begining a 4-day weekend. :D Thanks! P.s. If I figure out a way to go back to age 31, I will let ya'll know. Lol
