Hey Y'all, Northeast Mississippi Guy Here!

Andy, Nice intro, nice vettes. Welcome aboard! I'm from the south but my parents were perverse. They didn't even give me a middle name! :L I'm one of those people who just doesn't get it without a picture, so I'm real happy you've been contributing to the tech threads with photos. :upthumbs...

    Exterior Temperature

Tom, I believe that sensor is a pretty inexpensive part. Seems like under $20, if I recall. It might be worth a shot replacing it, in case that takes care of the problem. Computers, on the other hand, can get pricey. Someone with more technical knowledge should be able to weigh in here. In...

    Jetstream Blue

That new blue is very, very nice. I was contemplating it today while considering what color I would pick for a new Z06 when I win the NCM raffle ;). I finally decided that blue comes in second to .... you guessed it.... yellow. Even that watered down velocity yellow. The blue is just too...

    C-3 Photos

Try the 2nd and 3rd sticky threads in the site help & feedback forum (click) titled "How do I upload..." and "Resizing Photos..." See if those help, if not, send me or XLR8 a PM and we can help you out. I just love the C3 lines. Being in between vettes, and seeing all these beautiful photos...

    Oil change issues

I believe the oil pan is aluminum. Make sure the threads in it haven't been stripped when you're done. Where was it serviced last? Do you suppose they actually used an air tool to tighten the plug? :mad

    C5 Recomendations and Cautions

If you have kids or grandkids, get a model that allows you to disable the passenger air bag. That's one thing I don't like about my 99.

    C5 Recomendations and Cautions

$200... Nice! That's a heck of a lot better than what it costs to replace at the dealer. So I guess 2003's aren't exempt from that problem either.

    C5 Recomendations and Cautions

The ebcm failed on my 2002. I've heard of a number of others too...

    C5 Recomendations and Cautions

I have active handling, traction control, and heads up on my 99 too :D Most of the problems that plague vettes generally affect a wide range of years, such as the column lock issues, fuel gauge readout problems, failure of various computer parts. I would get the latest model with the lowest...

    New Z owner introducing myself

    Fuel gauge question

It could be the dreaded fuel gauge problem. I would keep a close eye on it, and take it to the dealer for a fix before the warranty runs out, if it happens again.

    Recommendations for a bike

Are you taking a MSF class? that's how I got my license. Money WELL SPENT :upthumbs Hopefully the weather will break before you take the class, though. Doing 5-20 mph maneuvers in a parking lot in 100 degree heat could be rough. Let us know how it goes. Tammy

Looking for a C5 Corvette.. PLZ HELP..

Welcome to the site and good luck in your quest. We've been throwing the idea around of selling our pewter 99 FRC w/ 39k miles (but need about 22k for it). Sounds like you need an auto though. You plan on racing it? Tammy
