Hi Paul,
I'm glad everything worked well for you. When we talked I didn't realize I was out of stock on rebuilt slave cylinders. I sent you a new one in its place. I'll get your core refund to you as soon as I recieve your old parts. Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you...
This is truly a sad day. I still have fond memories tearing up the hiway with Ken and Andre at BG in '02 and Blackdogs' pool party. That said I am at a loss for words.
Mike
Chas,
1971 was the last year for fiber optics. They are small lenses in the console fed by fiber optic cable to let you know if the lights were working. All you need to buy is two outer assemblies for a 73. Just make sure working back-up lites aren't required for state inspection.

Spindle trued if I reuse yours

Cmerrick, yes the cast iron rear end is stronger. But it can be adapted to the 80-82 batwing quite easily if you end up with that frame.
Tom and Andre, hi guys. It's been a while since we've seen each other. I still think about Blackdog's pool party. We need to hook up again some time. The...
Bill,
You have one of two problems. When you removed the lockplate the upper shaft bearing inner race slipped back and did not re-seat when you re-installed the lockplate spring or the four bolts holding the tilt housing are loose.
Mike
80-82 use the aluminum Dana differential and a batwing mount. 68 frames lack two reinforcements and use 67 type core support mounts. 69-74 cost more than 75-79 frames. Some opinions are the 78-79 frames are the strongest but I can't confirm this. On any frame you use look for cracks around the...
Hi Kevin,
You're welcome! Let me know if you need anything else.
Thanks Bud. Driving Rare was a real pleasure. I had forgotten about the C4 incident.....until now. You can barely see the scars. LOL
Mike
Kopbet,
This enlightening is more of a buyer beware than words of confidence. Without resorting to bashing or legal reprocussions let me say that this company has been a . . . . . disappointment to the corvette world. I won't go into details unless someone wants to know all the facts. I will say...
Look at the front of the passenger side motor mount. If it looks very clean and dry compared to areas around it you may have a fuel pump going bad. On the back of the pump is a vent hole. When the diaphram goes bad the vent hole will spray gas onto the mount. Also check the two hoses at the pump...
B,
I carry the rebuild kits for the control valve and slave. I also have new and rebuilt control valves and rebuilt slaves. If the joint where the slave attaches to the center link is good and the ps works good you can replace the seals in the slave yourself. Be sure to check the shaft for...
Ernie,
The clip that holds the lock retainer plate on is the "bumper" you are refering to. Get a bolt that will screw into the upper shaft to lock it in place and then use your lockplate remover. Since the shaft comes out with the clip still in place then someone has installed the clip...
