Pseudomind, I gave up on trying to impress folks a long time ago. I do things/buy things based upon if it appeals to me. However, I am never afraid to ask advice from others if they are more knowledgeable about the subject than I. Thus the questions about the $$ range of...

If only more people would learn to do this with about anything in life the world would probably be a better place. Understand. However, if I can land this car for $13,500 or less than yes I'll do it. If not...oh well. I don't plan on losing any sleep over it. I know that there many people here...

I'm with you on that one. It is up to $4,000 on the bid. The guy trying to sell it bought it from a guy in Fla. after it was flooded. My guess is that he didn't know what he was in for and is now trying to sell it. It would cost WAY more than what it is worth to do what would need to be done. H.D.

Thanks a lot for the info guys, There is another guy from Conn. bidding on this car as well. right now i've got the winning bid ($12,900) and my top bid will be $13,500. If it goes over that he can have it. I figure if I can get the car at $13,000 or less then it would be a good investment...

guys I have found a '78 vette for sell. It is suppose to be one of 250 Indy pace cars. It has 35,000 orginal miles on it. The asking price is $19000. I've posted a couple of pics. of the car. My questions: 1. I thought that all of the pace cars had the lettering on the side? 2. It has an L48...

Heck....I just might do this just to treat myself. My Z was an R8C option...to the first owner. I am the second owner and the only thrill I got was everyone watching me drive away with it when I purchased it from the credit union (it was a lease car but in excellent shape). Of course I had a...

    ordered new garage this weekend

I know what you mean by leaving the tools out. And I'm not the one leaving them out. Not to mention that when I got home the other weekend I had furry critters (cats) sleeping in the garage on my car drying towels:mad. The lady of the house and i had a long talk about the reason I built the...

    ordered new garage this weekend

Hello John, Yea. The 500 amps would be needed since it would be powering both the house and garage and to compensate for the voltage/amperage drop from the house to the garage. My elec. contractor (and my brother) told me that if i went with 400 amp service (200 for the house and 200 for the...

    ordered new garage this weekend

Jane, the ABC is like a crushed stone/gravel like material. I think in some places they call it aggregate. It is really easy to spread and level if you have or can get a tractor with a front loader and a box blade. I have one and I Looovvvveee any excuse to play with it. Once this stuff packs...

    ordered new garage this weekend

Got the garage door up. My next project is getting elec to the building. I was home this past President's Day weekend and met with the power company and my elec. contractor. Anyway I look at it, it is going to be a little expensive. To run the power from my house means replacing my current 200...
