Thanks, rob....I'm taking the car to my mechanic this afternoon to give it a good going over...will let you guys know if I'm going to take the plunge or not. Legal...I got the 50,000 mile figure from the guy's wife....but, she was mistaken. The 50,000 was for the pickup the guy's also selling.

I'm looking at a 91 Zr1...100K on the odometer...for $12,800!!! Needs about $1,600 work...carpets, seat covers, and ride control.... Anyone interested in buying it from me, say for $20K?? :))

Looked at the zr1 today.....nice, not great. Needs weatherstripping, carpets and seats show wear commensurate to a car with 100K showing on the odometer. Engines in great shape, or so it appeared, sounded and ran.... Recent tune up, new clutch... Ride control light's illuminated...but car...

Thanks for the info, rob...thought there'd be more to look for than if just shopping for a "regular" vette. Loco...you're right on...either the car's got some major issues, or I'm going to get one heck of a deal... Will let you guys know what's what. Again, thanks for all the advice...

Question....how's $12,500 for a 91 ZR1, 6-spd, 50,000 miles...excellent condition? Got an opportunity to grab one at that price, perhaps a little less. Comments?

Warren....went to autotrader, only 95's there for 12k and under were well over 100K mileage wise...or, for the one that was lower, it was wrecked... Still say 12K for one with 70k miles is a good deal....below address shows my search results...regards...

warren....i haven't seen any prices comparable to that for same year, like mileage here in Texas.... Where are you finding them?

my 95 does likewise...particularly when I've slowed down for traffic...say to 5-10 mph...and then accelerate slowly...clunk. My mechanic says there's nothing wrong...just a quirk on that year's vette.... .????

agree....my bet is, however, that you'll need the additive to help cut down on the noise...

if VP you added is a synthetic, than the additive's not needed...if it's not, then put the additive in...it''ll cut down on the noise.

My PKE light is on and stays on....this if following my having dropped my fob. Nothing works....question is, is the light on because the fob's bad, or is the light on because the PKE transmitter's bad....????
