    Caliper?

That's cool. The new caliper was $91. Now, to convince the wife to come out and pump the brakes while I bleed them...

    Caliper?

Last caliper I replaced (cast iron, not SS) was around $100

    Caliper?

Took the caliper off. Two of the pistons were leaking. No chance I would get away without paying somebody some $$$$.

    Caliper?

Interesting. Well, it doesn't pull to one side when braking. I haven't had time to check for a leak yet. It does produce a squeek from that area when I brake. I plan on having a look this weekend. Thanks for the input.

    Caliper?

I have a 78. Last summer, due to lack of space, it spent its time outside. Since it has a leak, I didn't drive it in the rain. I put a garbage bag over the leak area and a cover over the car. That kept it dry. When I put it away last fall, I notice a "rubbing" sound coming from the right...

    Upholstery shops in MN

I had mine doing in laCrosse, WI. They redid the upholstry and bent the frames back and reinforced them. I was very happy with the work they did. I plan on taking mine back for them to do the carpet. Flynn's Auto Trim 608-781-5515

What$ it worth? 78 coupe Anniversary Paint. Rough.

The PO was a "large" man. The seat frames had to be straightened and reinforced also. I went with the oyster leather/vinyl combo (like the original). The guy said that if he knew how much work the frames were going to be, he would have charged me more, but a quote is a quote.

What$ it worth? 78 coupe Anniversary Paint. Rough.

I had my seats redone a couple years ago. It cost just over $1,100. They are fairly expensive (IMHO) to restore.

    Astrotop T Tops

If you do a search you will find a rather lengthy discussion on this very subject.

One piece "Astro" top / T-TOP REPLACEMENT

I have the Astro top 1 piece. Pro: Cheap, light (plasic), tinted Con: Squeeks, leaks in right front (not tight to window), it will fit in back, but I need to put something under it for support. It spans the wheel wells. Would I buy it again? Probably not. I think I would bit the bullet for...

    Front shock tower

Man, do I learn stuff from this group :D That RF shock was such a PITA to get on, I don't look forward to removing it. :ugh

    Front shock tower

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but you're saying I should drive it to the welder ...without the shock even being on the car?! That would be a first for me.

    Front shock tower

I can drive it with the shock tower cracked? That's good. Actually I did drive it around the block that way before I discovered the problem, so I guess it won't self-destruct on a short trip. Now, I was wondering... can I just unbolt to top of the shock and unbolt the shock tower and remove...

    Front shock tower

I put new shocks on the front of my 78 this morning. When I was lowering the jack, after doing the last one, I heard a pop. I looked around underneath and didn't see anything wrong. I drove it around the block. The front end felt MUCH tighter. No wandering at all. The old shocks were easy to...

    Windshield wipers gone nuts

Who knows? I have owned it for a few years and it has only done it one trip. We'll see if it gets less 'random'.

    Windshield wipers gone nuts

Guess what? Drove it home, then drove it to Cruise night, then back home. Wipers never came on once! Go figure...

It's a 78. Wiper override switch? I will look around.
