New Door Panel Install Technique Help Needed!

Well, If mine HAD any felt left... It does ride against the glass, like the two little anti-rattle window dealies...it shouldn't ride against it too hard though... Do the screw holes and the all important pull handle and lock knobs mate up? That would be my main concern.... I don't know if...

expeience with nordskog digital gauges c-3

That's the standard location....might be others.. The Nordskog sender has a seperate ground wire, but I used other senders first and never had this problem. Do you have a noise filter on your ignition power wire? I put on the one MSD recommended (or maybe Mallory - it had that for a while)...

    What is your 'daily driver'?

The vette (when it isn't broken or being upgraded...) Already replied to the similar thread! :) 85 "Bad Times" Van is my main alternate - seen a lot of use lately :(

Is your Corvette your daily ride?

Trick Question....85K+ miles in the vette since '01.... ....but it's been down over a year in that period total! When running good I've hit $1000/month gas bills a couple of times - which SHOULD just get worse with the new temporary motor - assuming it ever runs right again. Can't wait...

expeience with nordskog digital gauges c-3

Forgot about this on other thread - speedo sensor: Yeah, they make an electronic sender adapter thingy. It's expected you put it on then attach the manual cable at the end. Why you'd want this, I don't know... Anyhow the mechanical speedo piggybacked on the electronic one didn't fit in the...

    Nordskog gauges

Nordskog has been around for a gadjillion years, but They use some of the same circuitry as some of the others - you can see it marked "Intellitronix" on some of the gauges. Cyberdyne also uses some of these, and Intellitronix itself sells some direct. I recall some of the generic Summit and...

Smoke from left rear wheel well?

Man, Evo80 has it dead on - worry about the BEARING! Someone else mentioned the same thing earlier too... As someone who had the driver rear outter axle stub melt off and depart with all that silly wheel type stuff at 80 two feet off a magnet wall I am PARANOID of that ever happening again...

    Insurance cost's for a C4?????????????

Haven't heard the option of no collision mentioned.... I only carry liability and theft on my now over $70K project C3 (only $40-45K in /hardware real upgrades.) I'd have to look at a C4 the same way. If you don't have it on payments and replacement cost of a cherry one is $10-20K - paying...

    Pumpkin switcheroo

All the Dana 44's and even Dana 36's on some are "weakish" Even in cast iron over the lightened aluminum. I'm sure the decision to do this was a engineering efficiency one. The medium power of the early C3's and C2's and the lower power of the mid and later C3's as stock with the tires of...

    Help please - fuel problem

You may have rust and junk in the tank. I have a fuel pressure gauge and it's really annoying to watch it drop to "3", then flash "lo" then watch the A/F meters lean out and you head for the side of the road, hoping this time the poor flow will catch up. I even disconnected the inlet fuel...

    Spare tire

On the short list of upgrades - good version of "doughnut" for bigger tank I have been checking out the availability of 3" & 4" racing wheels for a right diameter version of a "doughnut" to be able to make the spare half the height for a much bigger custom tank in place of the soon to be...

    1994 (C4) Wheels available - rcommendations?

I have the complete fore and aft VBP suspension packages and the Gear Vendor is en route.... The last real slop in the handling (aside from the actual steering box and current lack of PS) is the 15" steel wheels with the V rated Michelin Pilots. I could use one or two new ones in the next 5K...

    Nordskog gauges

Managed to take some poor pics, but I B 2 dum 2 post.... It's really, really, pathetically sad I was a (barely) passing Jr. in CSE at SMU exactly 20 years ago when I dropped out for the last time....I have no idea how to post a pic.:confused I don't have a webpage or a pic posting thingy -...

    Nordskog gauges

I have the complete Nordskog main and center panels and an auxilliary 8 gauge dashtop panel I made to conform with the vision already blocked by the L88+ hood center!!! (What can I say...I'm a gauge freak!) Mine are also in red, except for a few on the auxilliary panel - which are not all...

anyone using a performer airgap intake?

No, won't fit without dropped cleaner I have an RPM Air Gap with a Holley 4150 (750 DP-Man) and used to have a 750 Edelbrock on my new 413 with heavily reworked Edelbrock Performer heads. Either carb seems to result in close to the same height overall. I have a very high aftermarket "L88 +"...

    Gauge replacement

Oh..senders....forgot... You use your original fuel level sender, you can use your original oil pressure and water temp sender - but they include some of theirs I believe, but they are only about $20 anyhow (compared to the $450+ kit.) Your electrical measurement becomes voltage and just...

    Gauge replacement

I love mine....but, then again, I'm a gauge NERD! (God I hate Earthlink....20 mins writing a reply and it goes offline to save bandwidth...when it's so slow I can't even d/l movies....which of course lost all my pending post except the title! I need to get a new cheapy ISP like Netscape and...

    Edelbrock Vs. Holley carbs

Die Hard Edel AFB (Performer) Fan - May have to use PIPPED Holley now... Good comments on the "Quadrajunks" - the design is a decent reliable one frequently overlooked, even though they have more than sufficient fuel enrichment systems and are available all the way up to 795CFM, IIRC. As with...

    hard moral question

Yeah, you take off the hood on C3's...but it was the easiest hood I ever pulled - I had someone hold it, but the next time I won't bother. That's of course all different on a C4 (or a C3 with the clamshell conversion.) Then again I don't think the front end dips below centerline of the cam like...
