    Talk about puckering up!!!

Glad your not hurt I owned many repair shops for 35 years John, and witnessed many almost fatal mistakes. One of the worst was a 'reach in a window start', and the car started fine. Once running, the tech left for a 'quick pee' while the engine was running for warm up after a major tune. The...

    Corvette Enthusiast Price Guide

Very complete article I like the way they show models, like 65 convert and coupe, and break it further by engine type. I feel the guide is more accurate and represents the 'real' world vs. the "wish" opinions of wantabe Barrett-Jackson sellers that have very inflated opinions of value of...

    Race tracks loose

Remove door panel.......bend tang The correct way is to remove the door panel and bend the tang. Chances are the tang is broken, or the vinyl where it use to be securred has rotted away. Al Knoch in El Paso, Texas makes door panels including all the metail trim that is inserted in the 65-67...

    C-2 Dash cluster identification

La.........lb?? My records show LA was 365hp solid lifter. Makes sense thought that it is 250/300hp LB for solid lifter., yea LC is definately L-79 and L-36. This sequence came after the 65 L-79 engine was introduced. Very early 65 L-79 engines used 300hp, "LA" tagged clusters.

    C-2 Dash cluster identification

LB.....LA........or LC stamp There is a stamp on the back of the cluster. LA is for 250/300hp tach with 5000 redline LB is for a 365/375/425 hp redline of 6500 LC is 350 hp with the 5500 redline Many times people changed the tach for bogus engine upgrades, but never knew about the above L...
