I had a problem kinda like this on my 85L.
Beneath the carpet on the drivers side (We're talking beside the shifter) Is a VERY large bolt. Now this thing tends to loosen off and and some cases (Me) fall out.
This bolt holds the entire linkage together as you shift within the gate.
Hey try it...
Good news! But won't the ECM scream EGR if its not there?
Or are the "codes" given ran through the PROM and can be programed out?
Jeez... I just had the car up on my hoist for a looksee UGH!!!
I had to shoot it with the pressure washer HARDCORE and Im letting it dry, tommorrow I'll take...
Are they talking about redoing the E-brake assy's as well? Keep in mind you've got THREE sets of brakes to do.
Here it is in short
R&R Front Pads 1 hour
Machine Rotors .8 hour
R&R Rear Pads 1 hour
Machine rotors .8
R&R P.Brake Shoes 1 hour
Machine Drums .8 Hour
5.4 hours @ Dealer rate = 540$...
Hmm...
Well here's my thought.
If someone can tell me where this cold start injector is/ what it looks like (I heard its more of a BS valve) I'll disable it/disconnect (Heard we can do that to)
If its an injector problem screw it...Im actually going to change over to a miniram soon enough...
Out on a limb but we're dealing with a car with a similar problem.
We fixed it by replacing the fuel pump and the fuel pump relay.
We did them both at the same time due to wacky diagonstics but it did clear up. When your injectors ARE opening up from the message from the ECM the amount of fuel...
Sorry for the delay.
Ok there was no codes at all (which bugged me I was hoping for something easy)
The car has been doing this for a long time but now that Im driving the car more I'd like to fix it.
I had the entire upper intake redone, however everything is plugged in and there is no...
Not just aiming at Jeff but I know that hes really good with this kind of thing.
My car runs like crap on cold startup (Ive mentioned this problem before and had little response) As soon as my digital dash reads off LO on my oil temp and reaches a number (60 something) I run just fine.
Now I...
I had a Momo then switched to a Grant Mirage with leather molded hand wraps. (Bout 500$)
You can basicly use any wheel you want! Both Momo and Grant have the adapter kits for the Corvette with telescope steering and without.
I chose the Momo adapter/hub because its cast alumimun not punched...
WWWWWWWHOA!! Those first two are MY CAR! ROFL
The interior is Burlwood from Ecklers and a Grant leathered Mirage wheel. The engine is done by myself as well.
And this is a 1985 CORVETTE LOL not a Ram Air Tran Am!
How did you come across these??? Ive only posted them here once before and I...
Try Brake or Carb cleaners as well. It really blasts the stuff off. Just wipe is off with a metal polish afterwards. as not to potentially hurt the finish.
I run the +4's as well. On my other cars I just used regular BP's. I did get a good increase in gas mileage and acceleration from the NGK's and AC Delco's I had in there before.
I also run MSD 8,5's and a MSD 6AL Box.
Well the site looked interesting enough to bad I couldn't take a closer look because of the FORIEGN software being installed on my computer due to insane pop-ups.
Normally Id freak out but it seems like Im the only one....So beware of that link.
PHOOEY!
I was cleaning the car and while moving the heat/cold selector side to side I think a lever or rod broke or undid itself......Hmm
Now Ive had this unit nearly out before and the reason I couldn't remove it was because of a red wire that seemed to be soldered into what I thought was the...
Do you guys think the engineers at GM should take a partnership with someone like Callaway or Lingenfelter to aid the design as well as power of the newer cars?
I think from the "spy" shots that the design team seems to be running out of ideas! Look at the Body kits from Lingenfelter or the...
