Question: 88 Coupe - Emissions Test Failure

Nobody mentioned cleaning the electrical connections. Make sure you have good clean grounds especially the bell housing connection. You could be sending the ECU all kinds of bad info if the juice isn't flowing properly. And it doesn't cost any money to do, just a little time.

So I just got a '94 6-speed (for free) in a multi-car trade, and already the mod game is ON...

The best mods I did to my 92 LT1 were a Borla Exhaust and Bosch injectors.

Help! I have a 1992 Corvette c4, the ASR service light is on, the speedometer reads zero, the security light blinks

I would start by cleaning the battery terminals and giving the battery a deep cycle charge. The next step is to clean your grounds, especially the one on the lower bell housing drivers side.

    Motor vibration and whining sound.

Check your harmonic balancer. They have been known to fail and can cause all kinds of issues. Put a light on it and rev the motor to the range you describe. If you see it wobble it is probably bad.

40th Anniversary 93 ruby lt1 mystery oil leak

Check your dipstick and dipstick tube. Make sure your PCV Valve is functioning properly and that breather tube isn't plugged up. In either case you can get pressure in the crankcase and oil will leak out the top of the dipstick tube.

Knocking rough idle after engine is warm knocking rattle like if you strike two ratchets

It's been a few years but it seems like Corvette Central has the parts for the pcv system. Don't rule out the cats. It took me a long time to figure out the rattle from mine. It sounded a lot like you describe and was embarrassing sitting at a traffic light. It would go away as soon as I...

Knocking rough idle after engine is warm knocking rattle like if you strike two ratchets

You need the vacuum line from the throttle body to the passenger valve cover to be installed correctly or the pcv wont perform correctly. If the pcv is not there then get one and install it. This can cause poor idle issues. The knocking might be the innards of your catalytic converter. If...

    Question: Oil leak

Check your valve cover bolts. Mine were loose on my 92 LT1 and leaked. It went away after I tightened them up.
