It has headers and a k&n intake and it is hard not to smoke the tires even in third gear. Now I am wondering what else may have been done.

I bought a 2009 LS3 a couple months ago and it has headers. Does anybody know if this comes from the factory with headers? Thanks

You can use head bolt sealer, it works great for sealing any threads.

They are pretty simple to swap out. You will need to get the front end of the car up in the air with jacks or put it on a hoist. Then just unbolt the old one and bolt on the new. It will take about half an hour if the bolts aren't too stubborn.

When it's whistling slightly push on the clutch until it just starts to make contact with the throwout bearing. If it stops whistling as it engages then the bearing is where the noise is coming from. It might be that it is out of adjustment and the bearing is not disengaging with the pedal all...

Could be a bad fuel pump relay. When you turn the key the fuel pump activates momentarily and shuts off till the oil pressure comes up. If you have to crank it till the pressure gets high enough it will cause the very symptoms you describe.

The base stereo system in the C6 is disappointing to say the least. Today I installed JBL GTO rear and upper door speakers. The woofers remain stock. The re sult was very pleasing. The biggest problem was finding a wiring diagram. Here it is if anybody needs it.

First thing I would do is replace the plugs and wires, maybe even the cap on the opti. One bad wire can cause all kinds of havoc.

Thanks everybody. The first order of business is going to be installing an HUD. Those faux buttons on the left side of the IP have to go. It is on order from Parts Taxi and should be here in a few days. Anybody have any pointers on installation?

The C6 is much more comfortable. Much easier to get in and out of. Of course then there is the throttle response!
