    Scratch removal

A few nasty scratches have appeared over the course of my z06 ownership. Ive had decent luck removing them with the help of a polisher and the various mirror glaze cut cleaners by Meguiars, but there is one thing that is bothering me to some extent. The polisher tends to leave these very...

    Odometer Shot

Now you just have to try for the 1234567 :D I have heard of Caddy engines going over 1million km, so you never know.

    I just installed.....

Looks cool, im looking into some duct screens myself for my Z, not to mention the front plate cover, that stock black thing is ugly as hell.

C7 Corvette: I don't think so, but interesting...

Definately a Lambo/XLR combo if ive ever seen one. That would be way too big a departure, especially on the rear end which seems to curve outward. The compartment also seems a bit too tapered. Sticking to the general C6 shape might be the best option.

    What is your "other car"

98 Sunfire, not even worth showing a pic. Still running well though, but i dont like to drive it. Sadly, both the Vette and the Beater are exposed to the weather every day (except for winter of course) so i have to be content with the Vette spending its summer outside.. im lucky enough my...

    C5/C6 Octane Usage?

Sunoco and Shell i believe are the only ones here that still sell the 94. I havent seen Petro Canada or Esso(Exxon) carry any, ever. I dont even know how to hear ping if there is any at all. I hear the chatter of the valves and the rumble of the exhaust but never any kind of pinging. Im not...

What was factory ZO6 tire repair kit??

I have it too, maybe it could be used to remove the screw currently embedded in my tire. On an unrelated note: That Darth Vader hot air baloon is quite possibly the coolest damn thing i have ever seen in my life.

    Sea Foam Review

The squeaky belt issue seems to be confined to those dewy mornings, so im assuming its condensation of some kind. It happens less often now, so its not really something that occupies my attention. I suppose i can leave it be, i havent noticed signs of imminent belt disintegration so i think it...

    Sea Foam Review

I ran the SF through my engine but i didnt get any smoke, maybe i didnt put enough in, im not sure. I dont think i noticed a difference at all, but i know that any unseen enemies have been destroyed and thats what counts :D

Do you folks name you cars?

Usually its just 'the vette' but I have called it the blue dragon on occasion.

    Sea Foam Review

I assume that adding Seafoam to the crankcase would mean putting it right into the oil? It sounds to me like there really is no wrong place you could put Seafoam :L

C2 gets Mustang wave but no C6...

I go as far as to look around for vettes to wave at. Im always keeping my eyes peeled for something nice. Ill wave at just about anyone with a nice car. 911, Viper, Ford GT, or any number of classic muscle cars; I wave at all of them. Most of the people ive waved at return it with some form...

    Sea Foam Review

Alright, i plan to test this on my Sunfire first, im sure that little Quad-4 can use some decarbonising, even though it runs extremely well for an engine with a crappy reputation. Ill have to go buy another few cans and use them for the vette and whatever else. Thanks for the help. :upthumbs

    The Ultimate Swirl Eliminator Guide

Ive actually had decent success by applying scratch/swirl remover via orbital buffer with the applicator pad. It has removed a lot of the bad scratches i had from a truck backing into my front bumper, and did a good job of hiding the bigger scratches that can only be fixed through repainting...

    Crunched Vette

Wow, its sad to see anyones car that badly damaged, its even worse with a vette. Anyone with a big truck like that should know to keep cool on the road, not every vehicle has giant steel bumpers big enough to ward off being hit by a bus. By the sound of it, the guy shouldnt be driving...

    Tire got screwed

Alright thanks folks, ill air on the safe side and get the tire repaired.

    Tire got screwed

My front left tire now harbours a galvanised Robertson screw. Its about in the middle of the tire, which i hear is a good thing. Im wondering if I should simply leave the tire be? I figure the offender isnt going anywhere, and since the front wheels dont provide power it shouldnt be too bad...

    Sea Foam Review

I apologise but im still a bit confused. Its really hard to see anything in that picture. There is more than one hose near the driver side firestop. I was thinking it was the biggest hose that goes from somewhere behind the engine and connects to the brake master cylinder, but that doesnt make...

    Sea Foam Review

I guess it might help to know what and where the break booster is :| From what i understand, the valve circled in red needs to be unplugged, and the seafoam let into the same valve, which will then be suctioned into the engine. Its all i understand so far, since im not familiar with all the...

    Sea Foam Review

I bought some seafoam and now im not exactly sure where its supposed to go. Im assuming im supposed to unplug the PCV valve on the end where it goes into the manifold, and not the other way around? It would seem strange to me that it would have to go into the manifold first, but im no...
