WOW:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
Chris bet your still in shock when you look at your 69. It's been a long hard battle to get to finally post these pics. The new rims fit the contours of the flares just right. Thats a deep dish in the back, but know thats what you wanted as pictured in your mind...
Nobody can be good at every facet of a restoration. You will hopefully get a competent job on the top & seats.
After all you have accomplished its going to be rewarding to see a tight fitting top & new properly installed seat covers. Two in your face items.
Can't wait to see them done, Chris...
Chris your not wimping out just giving the important cosmetic touches to the experts. What a difference the top & seats are going to make. It will finish things off & give the car CLASS!
Those roll bars look really good. I just can't give up any seat travel. Darn!!! Your buddy made some...
If I venture anywhere it will be Orange Park cause I have a good buddy with an awesome 69 I would very much enjoy visiting.
You know I have an enclosed race car trailer at my disposal.
Mostly waiting for KLRSHRK to get on the road!
You up to seeing Thunder in person?
I'm sceeeered to drive it that far. Would also need an inflight refueling schedule with my MPG. If Thunder makes it to sharkfest it will be by trailer.
Tire smoke, belching sides, streaking speed, I know nothing of these things :L
Rick
Its not 100% but close when you tell them, they will check usually. Depends how elderly a clerk you get, LOL. I got what I wanted! 7 letters/numbers is max. BTW Welcome to the sunshine state.
Chris.... nice choice but your killing the chance of going incognito in the posse. Our speciality...
Chris all I can relate is what happened & let you decide. Your thinking is on solid ground, just give it a whirl.
Can't wait to see the old tush holders in Black, best of luck on doing it yourself.
The next few weeks should see some major cosmetic changes that will look sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!
Just my 2 cents Chris but Vert tops, & seat covers are harder than they look to install.
The 68 Vert my cousin did last fall got a new top ordered from Ecklers. It just would not fit. Took it to a trim shop & they made it look super. Charge was minimal since it just needed there expertise to...
Looking better all the time. Those hoops with the curvy seats (still red) are a mighty tempting
functional upgrade.
And the gauges sure stand out, being white faced. I will have to get use to the deck idea I guess.
Any bites on the 90 motor?
This one is a head scratcher for me, but at least you are on the way to getting some coverage for your interior. I got sprinkled on but only lightly last Tues nite at the car show so hauled butt for home just in time.
I bought that protective strip kit for use with hardtop & convertible top for...
Wish you could have made the Orlando NCRS show. There was a Vert top vendor there that was great to talk to & had alot of reconditioned frames. I spent alot of time looking over his wares cause mine is pretty awful too.
Sadly I misplaced his card but picked his brain enough to determine mine is...
Do ya think we would get noticed rolling by!!
One thing for sure they would hear us because of the 454 motors thundering thru our Hookers.
Sure would be a kick & something to look forward to :beer
Chris think function over any form for now.
Get that top ASAP.
Work your way through the things that will allow use of the car while you consider what would be next in the order for looks.
Allow the most time to getting the drivetrain settled in. It will be a learning curve for awhile till...
Welcome Rad,
If your not opposed to cutting glass it will be alot easier to haul some Big meat out back. I have rear fender flares so currently run 10" rims with 305's which provide a 12" footprint.
No need for the offset trailing arms if you go with flares. 69 MyWay has some posts with pics if...
