I just keep telling myself it is a 26 year old car!
Helps get through all the rattles and clunks.
It never fails when I wnt to buy a new part for looks or power, something necessary breaks and I have to fix that first!
But the looks it gets and the power when the secondaries open is all worth it!
Ok guys,
Here is my latest. The brakes on my 1981 work well, but the brake pedal goes soft during braking and sinks until the brake warning light comes on.
In park I can pump up the pedal again to a firm feel and the brake warning light goes out.
Master cylinder or power booster?
Thank you all for your help, I found it!
With all your help I found 2 things, there is a fuse like silver item in the fuse block which I assume is some sort of breaker. I removed it and cleaned the contacts and replaced it.
The marker lamps came back on.
Then I found a fuse that was marked LPS...
Marker lamps
Hazards do work.
I think I will pull the light switch and check it out.
The previous owner did a lot of wierd electrical things that I am cleaning up.
All my lights work except dash lights and outside marker lights.
Any ideas would help, all fuses are good, headights work, brake lights and reverse lights work, just no marker lamps and dash lights.
They were on and just went out.
Help please! iamfine2@comcast.net
