weatherstrips use any type of product with silicone in it.I have used armorall wipes and things like that.Dash protecting products with uv blockers etc.treating them with something is better than nothing at all.

On another site I saw a catch can made out of a air compresser filter from Home Depot,looked pretty good and seemed to work.Has anyone here seen it and what do you think?:confused also cheap!

What I'am saying is any touch-up in the middle of a panel-door,fender is going to show you can't spot touch it up the whole panel must be sprayed to look right,chips on an edge are easier to 'fix'.Like I said before its really what YOU can live with.Vettes need to look RIGHT!I did touch-ups for...

I worked at a high-end body and paint shop here in Naples Fl.Most people with nice cars that had chips or something had the panel painted.It just looks better.A good eye can always tell a touch-up,my boss was real anal about that!Even more so if your showing it.Its really what you can live...

That is true! Mine was real bad!Some one on this forum redid his by sandind it and polishing it so you could still see out but I like mine the way I did it.The peeling seems to be a problem with the lexan tops hope my thread helps someone with the same issue.:thumb

Well I finally did it.I had my lexan top painted.It was peeling bad,looked like s===.Now it is beautiful!A friend D.A.ed it(dual action air sander)much sanding,shot it gloss black,cleared it,done!Of course you can't see through it,but so what!looks good with electron blue.New top 1300 dollars...
