So true what many of you are saying...I just cant seem to grasp the inflated prices of clones. Vettes will always hold their own in price. When you look at today it makes me wonder should everyone be out buying ricers and storing them!!!The musclecar thing may be somewhat overinflated but...
With the C1 and C2 prices out of control the Sharks are coming on strong. If you check their website of sold cars you will see some pretty steep Shark prices!!! A 71 LS5 4 speed with some engine work and nice paint...54k!! A 69 tri-power...116k! A 78 Pace car went for some BIG bucks...charity...
Finally got around to changing my parking brake console this past weekend. Mine was the original which cracked too. It is made of plastic and that back bolt is one sweet pain in the #&s to get to. The replacement I had came with the car (never put in took me almost a year to get to it). The one...
40th Anniv cars were strictly Ruby cars. No badging was on any of the other 93's. Same with the 35th Anniv cars. Badging and emblems were only on the 35th cars. The only cars that shared anniversary emblems were the 25th (1978)anniv yr and the 50th anniversary cars. Hope this clears things up...
This winter has been a mild one so far.......Take it out for a ride and dont worry....There is no snow/salt where I am(NJ) and you dont even have to clean the bugs off your car!!! Had mine (the 71)out today for a nice cruise and on Saturday too. May have to run where I got the 88 stored and take...
I did the same thing. I reside in NJ and so far the winter hasnt been to bad. My Vette club had their annual dinner this past Sat night and I fired up the 71 BB and drove it to our dinner. When I walked in the restaurant I was surprised nobody else took theirs!!! Beautiful cool evening no bugs...
Its whatever each Vette owner thinks. Everyones tastes are different. My personal opinon is Im not a fan of it because I feel it upsets the lines of the C4. The earlier C4's look a bit better with them. Once they changed the rear i think it even looks worse....You wanted our 2 cents and you got...
A few of my Vette club members use it and swear by the results. Some of them were former Zaino people!!! I still use Meguiars products and think highly of their NXT tech lineup....I may try Nano in the spring though

Photos always make a car look great. My 71 photographs extremely well but upon getting close to the paint you can see some spider cracks on the hood. The last thing you want to do is buy something totally unseen. If you cant find someone in the CAC arena you may want to consider using an...
Congrats on the C3 purchase. Funny thing is I actually feel there is more room in my 71 vs the 88 too. Many happy smiles with it!!!! Gotta love those Sharks!!!!:D

Age means nothing!!! Many of us are baby boomers and we never want to age nor grow up. I remember my sister taking me to the NY auto show in 1971 when I was 10 yrs old. I was so excited to sit in the 71 Vette that was on display there. Just this past spring I doubled my collection of Vettes to...
As with many replies already the price is in the right area if everything is true with supporting documentation. Check for rust etc. Great way to start and always remember you are buying it for the enjoyment not as an investment. If you can get a couple of bucks off the price write the check...
Dont know what your budget is and Im not sure if you have exhausted all the collector car sites online yet. Check www.collectorcartrader.com,corvette trader, classic cars..e=bay etc...Good Luck!!! Itys a good time to find one in the North this time of year!!

Everyone has posted some valuable reasons to do it or not to do it...I would personally keep the C4 for its future collectibilty potential and its pure fun to drive quotient. On the other hand if you want a C5 I would look for a newer model with a couple of more miles on it. Car sounds very nice...
By far one of the best commercials ever produced!! My kids loved it and were dancing around thinking it was the coolest thing. Madonnas husband produced it.Its rather funny when they pull the Vette commercial back then but Mazda Zooms Zooms and other car companies are racing on the back roads...
I have Goodyear Eagle ST's on the 71. So far no complaints considering the car is 34 yrs old...tracks and handles well and the wear seems pretty good too. I dont drive in the rain...caught once and with an old big block the car is a bit skittish. On a nice day its always nice to let it rip...
