Your post made me think back. I bought my first 'vette, new, in 1980. It was a most exciting time for me, as I had always wanted one. I had to sell it 2 years later (first child of three to come). And now that I am 51, (I bought my second one last year) owning a C4 is great. It is so much more car and it is great to be back driving a vette again. The age means nothing, the thrill is still there.

Age means nothing!!! Many of us are baby boomers and we never want to age nor grow up. I remember my sister taking me to the NY auto show in 1971 when I was 10 yrs old. I was so excited to sit in the 71 Vette that was on display there. Just this past spring I doubled my collection of Vettes to two with the addition of my blue 71 454 coupe. With the C4 and a C3 I feel I have the best of both worlds....Technology with the C4 and old fashioned brute horsepower with the C3. Now if only I could get a mid-year!!! My wife has been undertanding enough with two of them...With three young kids I wouldnt have the room anyway!!!

My dad had a new 1960 vette that he and I put 250,000 on. I was 18 when he got it so you can do the math about my age now but I am having a blast with my 93. Unlike the wedding night it stops thrilling me.

58 this year and I just bought the ZR-1 to put away for 10 years so that I might mature enough to drive it.:crazy
I still do burn-outs in Thunder just like I did in the 60 over 30 years ago and Roger still jumps up at the slightest provocation… without drug assistance.:naughty:

Refuse to drive anything but a Vette.

No time and not enough money to act old.
