I got my first one when I was 27, and I never looked back. Wanted one my entire life, always drove practical cars. Saw a red coupe for sale in San Francisco and fell in love with it immediately, bought it for $10k. What a rush driving it for the first time, I wish that everyone had the chance to own a corvette at least once in their life.
I am 56 and have no need for Viagra but a strong need for my Vette.
My first was a 66 327, 350HP, four speed car at the age of 24 in 1973, my second and current is an 88 coupe with a 4+3. Most of the people my age think I'm crazy when they see how I drive it, but I don't care. I don't do burnouts or anything anymore, but plenty of people in my community have seen me with the car going a little sideways at times.
I am a nearly retired, ultra conservative, church going old guy that drives like a kid and don't plan on changing that until the day they say some prayers over me and lower my casket.
Thanks for giving us (me) reasons for optimism, Motorman!
Actually, I still feel, and act as if I'm still in my mid-twenties.....well, maybe late twenties. But I have a REALLY hard time believing I'm turning 50. I just don't feel any different from when I was a kid.....I just have a few more aches and pains that don't go away like they used to. -John

I'm 60 and feel like I'm 28. I think the Vette's have gone a long way to help that. The C-4 for playing, and the C-5 as the ultimate GT. The weather was good here yesterday, so took the C-5 and cruised for a good part of the day. What an incredibly comfortable car.
Glad to see that I am not the only "mature" person here.
Remember that old Tom T. Hall tune that talked about the young guy's conversation with the old guy? The old guy told him that there are just four important things in life...
"Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, mo money"

Anytime I drive my Corvette, it makes me feel like I'm in my twenties again. They are the best for making one feel better whenever you take that special drive. I plan on driving my current one till I can't anymore. Can't wait till Spring comes here in Western PA.
Turning 51 in a few days, the vette makes me feel young again. In some respects I feel younger than my oldest (29), she's very mature, fairly conservative, while her old dad is driving a vette! I had a '64 coupe thirty years ago, and it was no more fun then, than the one I have now.
There’s more to it than how you feel, you have to be able to know you feel that way. It’s like a full throttle 1-2 shift, did you have a bowel movement or did you just do a prefect speed shift, or both.
Sixty six and counting, or is it 67, what was the question??
