First off I apologize because I rarely check CAC much since I retired. Old age and grandkids keep me pretty busy that I find I just don't sit in front of a computer much.

Anyway, you guys helped me a lot when I had my 88. I've since moved up to a 2016 triple black convertible and that is the question. How can you tell if the active fuel management system is going out? I've only got about 15K miles on the car. I don't drive it much so I change oil every 2000 miles, sometimes less. Today was the first nice day of the year so I dropped the top and the wife and I went for a ride. I kept hearing a rattling noise sometimes, almost like in the old days when you had bad gas and the car "pinged" under acceleration. At first I thought it was something loose in the front but everything looks good. I then changed the dash display to show when it changes from V8 to V4 mode. Idling and acceleration are fine. But it seemed like when it went out of V4 mode back to V8 mode, it rattled or pinged briefly. Wife even heard it. So it got me thinking that maybe the AFM is going out. Is there anyway to check if this is the case? Just trying to get some idea of what I might be into before going to the dealer. And yes, I have considered just getting a Range AFB disabler but wanted to check all possibilities before going that route.

Thanks again for any help.
