Ed,
I looked at my 88 storage compartment tonight when I got home and it looks pretty much like yours except for the battery. I don't remember the last time I looked in there, probably right after I got it 13 years ago. Anyway looking at the schematics all the wires running through there are...
Well maybe I jumped to conclusions on Roger's comments. I guess I didn't take it as he intended so it's just water under the bridge at this point.
As to the poster's next questions, I believe what your picture shows is the antilock system. This should be behind the driver's seat. I haven't...
Looks to me like the OP was asking for help and right away someone is jumping down their throat for asking a question and is called out for a technicality. This site use to be the one I checked most frequently because everyone was so helpful. I guess that's changed. It's not like I've never...
I had a long talk with Gordon Killebrew, widely considered the expert on C4s, and he said as long as your fans are running at the proper temps, everything is fine. I agree I hate seeing the temp go up over 200*. Sitting in parades my fans routinely come on and when they do the temps do go down...
I don't know about a 96 but on my 88, the buttons are lite from behind the button. The light on the bottom of the mirror illuminates the window controls on the console. I'm not sure about the fuse.

Well I'll defer to Knuckles as it looks like he does this for a living. My own opinion is that Crutchfield is doing a CYA job. Like I said previously someone prior to me swapped out the stock Bose for an aftermarket. I didn't need a special bracket for the door speakers. They were 4 X 4 and just...
I don't know if this helps but a previous owner of my 88 replaced the stock Bose system with an aftermarket AM/FM/CD and new speakers. You might check on Crutchfield.com as that is where I got my new stuff. I recently replaced the old unit with a Kenwood that had a usb input so I could use my...
My condolences to the Robinson family. As a fellow C4 owner your Dad helped me with several problems I had with mine.
Seems like we are losing a lot of good forum members this year. I hope the trend does not continue.

I will just echo what previous posters have said more eloquently that I can. I never met Remo or Jane Ann but I can't believe these two are gone now. I enjoyed their friendship and advise through CAC for many year. Makes me consider my own mortality. RIP Remo.

So Sad
I am just shocked to hear that Jane Ann has passed. What a great lady and I am so glad to have known her through CAC. She was always quick to help me or anyone else with a question or problem. I'm going to miss her. I hope her family knows how much she meant to all of us here on CAC...
I didn't remove the letters but I did remove/replace the emblems on the hood and gas tank lid. You can use a hair dryer to soften the adhesive and I used fishing line to saw between the emblem and hood. Take your time and they will come off. I then used 3M adhesive remover to clean up the...
Rob,
Just wanted to say "Thanks" for all the coverage you've provided and thanks for maintaining the best Corvette website. It must have been a real thrill to be there for the unveiling. If you need someone to carry your suitcase next time just give me a call.
:D

I got this email from a club member. He used to be one of those folks who happen to get some parts out the back door of the Corvette plant when it was here in St. Louis. There are a couple of interesting links in the email so I hope you enjoy.
Here is the email:
At the end of this video it...
OK, I'm generally on the C4 section so please bear with me. My son-in-law enjoys finding unique gifts for me. At Christmas he gave me a hubcap which to me looks like it is from maybe a 58 or so. I am posting several pictures to help identify it.
What is puzzling is that it is bronze or...
I happened to go to Bloomington Gold in 1996 and saw this car in person. It was amazing that although it had yellowed a bit, it looked like it just came out of a showroom. There were a ton of NCRS folks crawling all over it to document it's originality.

Congrats again Jane Ann! We have friends in the club with one like yours and I think they were even involved in the 50th Anniversary at the NCM a few years ago. I'm sure you will have many happy miles together.
