    Seat Covers by IGGEE

Where did you go to get your redo? I'm in Waterloo, IL near St. Louis and have been thinking about redoing my seats. Like you I didn't want to pay an arm and leg to have MAD do them. I'd be interested in your covers but I have a totally red interior so I don't think they would work. You...

Hendrick, Earnhardt Jr. refuse to bend as dismal season winds down

Interesting article. Knowing one of his old crew chiefs and what he's talked about, it seems like Junior is still just a good old boy in Hendrick's corporate world. Still don't see a good fit. Had Speed on the other day and they were showing an old Richmond race from 5-6 years ago. All they...

    Question: Power Antenna Not Working

If it's just the mast, I got mine from Mid-America and replaced it 2 weeks ago. I didn't remove the motor because mine seemed like it was just jumping a couple of teeth. 10 minute job to replace just the mast. But as you will find with most of the posts, if the plastic is broken or stripped...

    Supersonic Blue Metallic ZR1

While doing one of my favorite activities, dreaming about getting a new Vette, I ran across two Supersonic Blue Vettes for sale at a local dealer. From these pictures I thought I'd really like them. So I went by last night to look at them in person and I'm underwhelmed. Even my wife didn't care...

    First Ride

I got my first ride along at an autocross event on Saturday. Another club sponsored the event but we had several folks from our club race. I worked the staging all day (and have the sunburn to prove it)! Anyway the last event one of our club members asked if I wanted to ride along. He was using...

The infamous power antenna not working

I did it! Finally got around to replacing my antenna mast yesterday. Naturally it didn't go as planned. There was no large nut that would fit the wrench supplied with the antenna from MAD. Since a previous owner swapped out the original radio, maybe they changed the antenna also. Anyway...

    How about a 72-race slate?

I just read the whole article and it sounds interesting. In the last year or two I'm kind of in a take or leave it mode. If nothing else is on and I've got nothing else to do I might watch a race. Several years ago I didn't miss a one and DVR'd those I couldn't watch at that time. For...

    Supersonic Blue Metallic ZR1

I'm with Jane Ann on this one. My brother has the Jetsteam Blue and I think it only looks good in bright sun. My favorite color is black, although the Vette is red, but this color would be a close second. Now if I can only find all those cans with money in them in my back yard I'd be...

    Pictures of Jack Roush's crash

Got these from a friend of mine. The one of Jack getting out of his plane is a little hard to look at. Ron "Baldie88"

    Help! Wipers

The C4 wipers are notorious for hanging up. It's not the blades but the adjustment. I've adjusted mine a few time to get them right. Take off the cowling screen under the wipers and you will see 2 bolts that you can loosen and move the arm. Be careful though as it is easy to get them off...

The infamous power antenna not working

Thanks for the write-up on the replacing the antenna mast. I've got it printed off and sitting on my workbench waiting for the mast to come in from MAD. Ron "Baldie88"

The infamous power antenna not working

I looked at my antenna problem again last night and since the motor seems to be working fine I'm just going to replace the mast. Ordered one from Mid America last night and it looks like a fairly easy job to replace. Of course they have never seen me work on a car before!;LOL Wish me luck...

The infamous power antenna not working

I did a search on power antenna but I'm still confused. By the way the car is an 88 coupe. Antenna runs up fine but won't go all the way down. About 6" sticking up. Sounds like the motor is still running and there is a clicking sound so I think that means the tape has some gears stripped off...

    Question: Looking at new tires

Heard a lot of good things about Kumho so I put a set of ASX tires on my 88 and couldn't be happier. Ron "Baldie88"

    My first Corvette - a 1996 CE

Welcome to the CAC Mark! If you are in the Highland area and are interested in joining a club you might want to try Looking Glass Corvette Club. I think they are in O'Fallon. Our club and them are usually at the same hotel at Eureka Springs and they are a great group of folks. Ron "Baldie88"

Couple questions on bringing a 94 Coupe back to life

I think it was Boone Trail that use to do the car shows at Chevy's. Once you get it running and you want to maybe check out some local clubs, you can Google "St. Louis Corvette Club", "Route 66 Corvette Club", or "Boone Trail Corvette Club" and pick out one that is close to you. I am one of...

    Help! 1984 Corvette problems

Gordy, If you continue to have problems you need to go over to Huntsville and see Zeke Jenkins at Corvettes Unlimited. He is the best in the area. I use to live down there and belonged to Valley Vettes. Also an excellent club. Ron "Baldie88"

Couple questions on bringing a 94 Coupe back to life

Mark, Once you do get your car running and you are interested in joining any clubs, there are several in the St. Louis area. My club, the St. Louis Corvette Club, is actually sponsored by Elco. We meet at the Sunset Lakes Golf Course off of Gravois Bluffs. There is also Route 66 in the area...

Guess who's C4 is back on the Road?

Darn, I still miss Ken. He helped me out a lot when I first got my car and joined CAC. Glad to see his car is back on the road.:thumb Ron "Baldie88"
