Help! Wipers

Wipers hang up when on the slow intermediate speeds. This just started happening. It seems to happen on the slowest speed. I have replaced the blades, from Chev dealer and they made sure they were the proper replacements. Any help will be appreciated. 1996 CE LT4.:confused

The C4 wipers are notorious for hanging up. It's not the blades but the adjustment. I've adjusted mine a few time to get them right. Take off the cowling screen under the wipers and you will see 2 bolts that you can loosen and move the arm. Be careful though as it is easy to get them off cycle. I've read somewhere on how far they need to be at the end of their stroke but don't have it here at work. Do a search here or Google it and I'm sure you will find something. 1 1/2" on the drivers side and 1" on the passengers side sticks in my mind but I can't be sure.

As baldie88 says, they are easy to get out of "time" with each other. The shaft slips, lock downs slip etc...

adjustment MAY be a trial & error deal... I did mine once and for a short while had the drivers side wiper actually swinging off the glass and sticking out there in traffic !
It helps to have someone inside to watch and operate the key so you can adjust and observe the operation of the wiper drive system.
