    Hood rubbing on engine

I have the exact same problem with my '89. I was thinking it was just me until I went to a corvette gathering last summer and saw an '88 and another '89 with the exact same problem. So all I can tell you is that your definately not alone!!!

Sounds like a plan! :w Lottery check, eh? Good for you! But I'm assuming it's enough for wheels but not enough for a brand new vette? :)

BG Plant to run out 2004s and a couple C6s Next week

You know, Edmond...I haven't given up completely on that ZR-1. It's still there and there is a chance that I may be getting either a pay raise or an increase in hours at my job (not to mention that my wifes 2002 Monte Carlo SS is up for sale) and if any of those things happen then I'm all over...

    AFS Wheels

We could definately look into it. But it'll be another month or 2 before I decide for sure if I'm getting new wheels. I'm waiting to see about a possible pay raise or increase in hours at my job. It's sorta doubtful, but if it comes through I'm going to buy the ZR-1 that Edmond was kind...

I looked into the drive as well. Turns out it's 3 hours from Detroit. But we're both thinkin' the same thing! :)

    AFS Wheels

I'd like to see both polished and chromed in person. From some pictures online, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of difference between 'em. But you are right, Eagle, it does seem like polished would be much easier to redo in case they got messed up.

    AFS Wheels

Ah, I see! :) Let us know when you have pics available for us to see. Since it still appears unlikely that I'll be getting the ZR-1 I had my eye on, I'm debating on getting some new wheels for my '89....so I'm keeping an eye out for some good deals. -J

    AFS Wheels

Actually, I didn't do the price comparison with tires included. But, AFS offers Chrome ZR-1 style wheels (4-17"x9.5" +56mm) for $1450.00 on their website and AAA offers what appears to be the exact same set of wheels for $850.00 on their website. I'm not sure what the difference would be with...

    AFS Wheels

Does anyone know why they are so much more expensive than AAA Rims. http://www.aaarims.com ? It looks like you can get the same OER Chrome ZR-1 Wheel at AAA for around $600 less per set! Anyone have experience with AAA or with both companies? Is one quality that much higher than the other or...

Driving in the rain...yes or no?

I've only driven mine in the rain one time - and that was due to an unexpected (but thankfully shortlived) rainstorm. I would freak out if I had to drive it on salty/snowy roads! But to each his own...

Should this thing be this fast?

Hi, RJSROCKET...and welcome to the forum. You may want to check the information in your profile (Corvette Ownership)... Either the '5' and the 'R' keys are very close to one another on the keyboard or you have one insanely rare car! But my guess is on the former. ;) :Roll
