Even at nearly 25 years old my 81 turns heads and draws a crowd when i park somewhere and if it lasts will still do in another 25, something that will never happen with a Civic. The bonus is that it goes ok as well :) J.

Aston Martin 1 - 2 at Silverstone debut

It is nice to see Vettes racing in Europe again, probably the main goal for Aston Martin this year will be the Le Mans 24hr then we will see what they are made of. One comment was that not only do the team have a couple of well engineered cars but also some great drivers as well. Many of the...

Astons make an impressive debut in there first try in Europe in a close fought race, The Vette was up there with a chance running in third but failed to finish. by Ollie Barstow Proving their surprise win at Sebring was no fluke, Aston Martin made it two straight wins for the brand new DBR9...

Fire in the Hole !!!!!! Eventually got round to getting it going today, even after a two year lay off and a new cam in it fired straight up as soon as it got a sniff of super unleaded. :D Sounded awesome, it will be interesting to see how it does with the new Comp Cam compaired to the old...

Sidepipes are on, Fire-up party this week

Well in typical British fashion after 3 days of beautifull sunshine I get up this morning ready to go and it is raining !!!!! guess I will wait and see for the weekend, after a couple of years another couple of days won't make any difference. I have the beer in and the boys from my local bar are...

Sidepipes are on, Fire-up party this week

Well today is the first time my Vette has seen sunshine in about two years, kinda lost my enthusiasim for it a while back but decided to drag it out and dust it down and see if the whine of the PJ geardrive and the thunder from the sidepipes can get me going again. :D

    Need help

My geography is not very good :L I thought of Holland and Belguim because I worked in Spijkenisse a lot a few years ago and drove down in to Belguim a few times to get the Ferry when I couldn't get a ticket from Rotterdam so passed buy a few Chevy dealers here and there. I am sure there are...

    Need help

There are plenty of Chevy dealers in mainland Europe that sold Corvettes, Holland or Belguim in particular, search for Arton's Corvette a Dutch Vette specialist http://www.artoncars.com/ and they should be able to sort something for you. I got a set for a Camaro that I had here in England from...

    Store it or take it?

Who said the Autobahn was Busy Some great roads in Germany and if you go on a Sunday they usually aren't to busy. This was on the way to Prague somewhere past Nurenberg. Passed a few pretty places on the way.

    Store it or take it?

:L It is not unique to Scoucers, "Glasgow Kissing" was a popular passtime in many of the bars I frequented when I was a teenager. Frank McNie's Poems A Glasgow Kiss He's descended from the great warriors of Gorbals fame, A master in the art of the street fighting game. The perfect example...

    Store it or take it?

I took a drive yesterday over to the Lake District, coast to coast in 2 hours on our own A66, went from my home town Hartlepool on the east coast to Whitehaven on the west skirting around the edge of the lakes, I have done this trip several times in the last Vette I had. I was here :)

    Store it or take it?

Get It On The Boat !!!!! You will have a lot of fun in a Vette over here, lots of shows and a couple of good drag strips near by. As Spanish says Europe is only a tunnel ride away, you can be on the Autobahn in a couple of hours and driving over here in England isn't so bad as you might think...

Aston Martin wins ALMS debut in DB9 over C6-R

Pounds Sterling x 1.9 to get bucks, not sure about that price though, seems a bit high. I agree that the new Z06 or even the standard C6 does offer bang for the buck but there are some people not interested in a few tenths 0-60 or quarter mile times. They want to be exclusive, and whatever...

Aston Martin wins ALMS debut in DB9 over C6-R

The race cars are listed at £475,000 a piece and the road going DBR9 comes in at I think £190,000 !!!!

Aston Martin wins ALMS debut in DB9 over C6-R

Here's what you were up against Most of the motorsport magazines over here are saying that Sebring was just a "test & tune" in the run up to the Le Mans 24hr, will the C6R be running there this year ??? CONFIGURATION: Front engine, rear wheel drive CHASSIS: Modified DB9 aluminium...

    Important Questions

Hi tlong, Unfortunately we are seriously ripped off in this country when it comes to things like this, what you see in dollars usually transfers straight into british pounds and then has 17.5% sales tax added to it and sometimes another 10% added just for good measure and then there is the...

    Important Questions

Bob, I did the same with the cables on my current Vette due to the cost of a side post battery and had no problems, on my first Vette I did have problems with the switch on the clutch pedal and it would only happen when the car was hot for some reason. I bypassed the switch and that solved it...
