Anyone have a cure for rear leaf spring squeak or creak? My 81 rear springs sqeak some when going over a dip etc. The leafs look like new and the spacers or liners look good as well,and there is no suspension sag or leaf damage. I did replace the rear leaf bushings last year also. Tried...

Make certain that your clutch cross shaft is lubed,and that the linkage is oiled and not binding. Some time back my 81 clutch was groaning and engaging very hard and finally the cross shaft bracket let go. Good thing it was in the garage at the time. Also before dishing the clutch also...

I couldnt agree more. Was at a show last month where quite a few c-1 c-2 and c3 vettes were well represented,and the trophies for the corvette class,all years went to a new 08 z06 and 2 c5's. Ken

My 81 has been fortunate to recieve 11 trophies over the last 3 seasons at car shows. Maybe it is the rare color combo or originallity or what,but i do get a lot of looks and compliments by people of all ages. I also avoid the car club sponsored events as the judging is usually biased...

Bill, I didnt check the fuse,because i believe the same fuse that controls the clock (not in the radio) also works the courtesy,dome and other dash gauges,and they all work. I may be wrong on that though,only wish that it was that easy. Ken

I get that a lot at the car shows. A lot of people cannot believe that the paint is original,but it is. Ken
