I purchased a Duralast gold from autozone. They come with a three year warranty I believe. It has been in my car for 2 years I believe so I hope it takes a crap pretty soon. lol :L

The only thing I would worry about is the amps on each speaker. I just use the cassette adapter with my zune on my olds. The ease of using the adapter is keeping me from installing new cd players, and the cost :L

You can run a cooler thermostat without doing anything. The only thing is if the car sits in traffic your temp will still run hot because the fans wont kick on until the stock setting.

I agree about the headers that makes a night and day difference.

I think you can get that one out if you get a long extension and there is a little hole in the wheel well that you can slide it through. I know I have to get one plug out that way. Not sure if it is that one without looking.

Go with the ACdelcos. Just make sure they are gaped right. They usually are but sometimes they are off a tad.

Last year I ordered an MSD coil, cap, rotor, and wires when I did my tune up. When I put everything back in I noticed my tach only worked up until around 3000 RPM's, then it would fall to zero and pick up when it dropped below that. Well I threw in my old ACDelco coil and the tach worked fine...

My passenger side as been janky since I bought it and a few months ago I ran it all the way forward to clean behind it and now its stuck there. But I don't sit on that side so its not a major priority to me right now. :L The new ones are pretty pricey when I looked them up.

What brand of plugs, wires, and cap did you put on? Did you change the coil and the rotor as well?

Mods on any car are tricky to try to get any of your money back when you sell it. Some people don't care about any power adders they just want a stock Corvette. Thats when its tough. Good luck selling your 96!

You can block it off there are block off kits for it. I am not sure about pros and cons of doing it. I know my brother has his blocked off on his 86.
