Loud growling sound turning hard left

I don't have any experience with a 95 but if it were my 87 doing that, after I had done everything else you've done, I think I'd be looking at the parking brake assembly on that side.

    Engine serious rattling pinging noise

Just a guess but I think I'd start looking into the timing chain area. You could have lost a tooth and slipped a few more, throwing your valve timing way off. Don't drive it.

    '87 No Start Problem

That module is all there is that concerns the car running. All it does is "read" the resistance pellet in the key and, if it's correct for the specific car, it allows current to the starter relay and, I believe, the fuel pump relay. The other part of the security system, doesn't affect the...

    '87 No Start Problem

The relay with two pink and two black wires is the horn relay. There should be 1 dk green, 2 pink, and 2 black wires to it. The blue module is the VATs module. If I recall, it measures about 2x3x1/2 inches or close to that. Wires to the VATs module are Dk Grn Brn Yel Pink/Blk White Black...

    Vacuum hose ends where?

On an '87 it goes to the switch above the brake pedal. Don't know if it's the same on a '96 but it probably is.

Need a seemingly hard to find part!!!

It's easily removable and you can probably get your's recovered fairly inexpensively if you have to.

    Looking at a C4

Any good tire store can tell you when the tires were manufactured. There is a code number on the inside sidewall which gives the information. It could very well be that these tires "look" new but are of an age where replacement would be a mandatory safety precaution. We're not talking about...

HELP NEED DISTRIBUTOR WIRE ORDER PHOTO

BOSSVETTE is correct. If you removed the distributor during installation of the coil, you may have gotten it out of position for #1. If you didn't remove it, #1 will be where the rotor is pointing when you have #1 at TDC. Find TDC and see where the rotor is pointing. That's the #1 position...

    '87 No Start Problem

Good deal. Now you can un-by-pass the VATS, eh? :D I'm old school on that other relay though. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Chances are you'll just get a bad relay and replace a good one and then the car will run but not at night. LOL

    bad electrical short

The service manual for my '87 says that the first thing to check if the tail light fuse keeps blowing is the wire running from the fuse panel to the light switch. It should be brown in color. I'm not sure how the harness is routed on your car. The lamps can probably be reached from...

    bad electrical short

I think your problem is probably in the light switch. There is no common fuse between the tail lights and the instrument panel. The common connection between the two is the switch itself.

    Electrical Issue

Not sure but it seems accurate for my '87. Perhaps someone could contact the guy who runs that website and ask. I haven't felt the need thusfar.

    Driving Lights

You'll find them by following the wire to what looks like a tube sticking out of the front cap ahead of the radiator just off to either side. They're sort of hard to get to but if you remove the air cleaner it makes it a little easier. Just twist the tube 1/4 turn ccw and pull straight out and...

    Repainting the Vette this year.

Aussome! I especially like the stripe. It's a perfect blend of stock and individualism.

    Starting problem

According to my 87 Service Manual, it's the relay located just to the right of the brake booster. Should be the same on the 88.

    need help, fuel won't stop

Realizing that this particular problem is solved, I'd like to caution against using the advise to start the engine to run out the lines. With raw fuel all over the top of the engine, starting it could prove expensive.

    1987 Corvette Mufflers

I've got a set like Mic's on my stock '87 Vert, along with and I'm very pleased with both the sound and performance. The crossover tube greatly reduced the resonance.

    '87 No Start Problem

I am going to assume that the problem was the starter relay. Congratulations! Enjoy your car. :beer
