Tried to adjust me power seats this morning to go to work. No movement, no power. Got to work, tried to use the power locks to lock up....nothing except a clicking noise behind me information center in the dash. I also think I have a power drain some where because my car has started hard the last 2 days. 12.4-12.5 Volts with key in, but engine off. Any ideas where to start????
Could be a fuse, I am not sure if the power seats and locks would be on the same circuit. As far as the current drain goes, I think the voltage you are seeing with the key on are typical. If you really want to determine if there is a current drain on your battery shut everything off. Take the bulbs out of the hood lights. Connect an amp meter between either terminal of your batter and the batter post connector. Any real current draw will show. If you find that there is a current draw, remove one fuse at a time until the current draw disappears and that will narrow down to the circuit that is causing the drain. Good Luck, Craig
OK Changed out that 30A-12V Circuit Breaker that was hot...burning hot. Reattached the Battery and it sparked like crazy, breaker got super hot super fast...I am figuring it is my power locks...I must have a short...however my Haynes does not show what circuit my power sport seats are on
