Turbocat's the only other TT owner I have ever met and the only other TT I have seen. Even with the extensive mods he has made I got goosebumps when he started it up 'cause the sound was still that good deep bark like mine.

Did you look at the pics of the engine on the '87? WTH is that on the upper radiator hose? I know they used truck engines on the very early TTs, I wonder if that has something to do with it.
I read somewhere that Callaway couldn't get his car certified or something for the speed crown in '87, hence it went to the Buick. Watching one of those cars "climb the ladder" as they power up in the rear is pretty dang cool.
I got some stainless steel letters from SS Inserts and will probably try and get them powder coated glossy black. I'm tempted to see what spray paint and spray clear coat would do but I'll wait and see what it takes to get them professionaly done. I sure like the way black chrome looks...
Make sure he waits for the intercooled Magnusson SC. I know someone with an '02 Z06 and he can't run it at the track cause the temps get too high. Possibility of detonation and ruining the engine.
