Spark plug change bring all sorts of questions!

I don't consider myself knowledgeable on spark plug equivalents, but I think your car originally called for an AC 44 plug (not R44), and many owners use the slightly hotter 45 plug (not R45) to avoid fouling when the car is primarily used for boulevard cruising. I've also seen posts by owners...

    SB Head Gasket recommendations

Sounds like a bad battery cable connection, or the dreaded firewall harness connection issue.

C1 motor mount bolt hole question

I'm only guessing, not being able to see the parts in question, but I assume you mean the anomalies are on the brand new NOS mounts. I doubt that they ever spot-welded a motor mount hole edge "to keep the bolts from spinning in the frame"; more likely the parts are stamped out on a press...

need to get a mini starter, but I need some help....

Here's how it looks to me: If I'm looking at your picture of the scattershield and block correctly, I can see 3, no, make that 4 holes in the bottom of the block just this side of the scattershield...two are aligned just a bit inboard of the scattershield, and two are a little farther away...

    SB Head Gasket recommendations

The ones I've seen recommended: 1. if the head and block surfaces aren't being refinished, Felpro #1003 (expensive) composition gaskets, or Summit #FPP-2802 in kit form with intake gaskets. 2. if the head and block surfaces ARE being refinished, Felpro #1024 "coated shim" gaskets.

    Fuel Pump

Fuel pump diaphragms are hard to destroy. But, I'd be inclined to rebuild it. Some vendors carry kits (try Dr Rebuild: http://tinyurl.com/g8tu6 ), and even your local NAPA might list a kit for it. If Dr Rebuild catalog is correct, 59 to 66 take the same kit.

    63 split window

Yes, 360hp FI was the highest performance engine. The base engine was 250hp with a Carter WCFB and there were two other options, 300hp and 340hp, both of which had a single Carter AFB carb. 1961 was the last year for dual 4-barrel engines.

Wheel / Tire combination - Will this work?

I have seen several reports of 215/65 tires being used without problems on 6" rims. Some folks think the 215/65 looks a little small in the wheel opening due to it's smaller diameter... after all, these are the days of 20" bling wheels with rubber band tires, so the fashion is to make 'em look...

    Speedometer WAY Off

Your math is off... reading 78 when you should be reading 50 means your speedo is reading 56% too high. Wow, that's a huge difference! You need to find out what color (or number of teeth) gear your TH400 transmission now uses for it's speedo driven gear, and choose a new driven gear with about...

    This burns me up...

The first guy is apparently hacking eBay, because anything you click on in the seller info section results in an email to him (rather than being able to read his feedback, etc) eBay needs to start getting a much better handle on this stuff.

    Strange Spec. numbers?

Avanti Motors also bought base Corvette engines for their cars. I'm not sure why you are agonizing over those last 3 characters of the stamping... they are unique to a product line of vehicle models and are meant to convey the horsepower and the transmission type of the engine so that the...

Update 63 Project - Road to Top Flight...

100 errors in the 63 Judging Manual? I've purchased 2 of them over the years and I'm not sure there's even 100 things in there, let alone 100 mistakes! I was quite disappointed with it and didn't find it to be much of a help.
