I have a 2004 that was ordered with every option except special wheels, so I have the silver painted 5 spokes. However, I was at recent rally with over 1,000 vettes (most C5s) and didn't see another set of painted 5 spoke wheels. A couple of people have asked if I have titanium wheels; lol...
2005 Chevy Tahoe Z-71 Blacked out exterior and tan leather interior is my "company car" and daily driver. Yes, I really need a 4x4 large SUV for my work.
Just ordered a 2007 Cadillac DTS with the top of the line performance package and the Tehama leather interior to replace my wife's 2004...
You have to shop for a good dealership and good mechanic just as you would for any other service, like a good barber.
I tip my female barber (hairdresser or whatever) very well and I get good service and preference on appointment times. I also give her a nice Xmas bonus.
You have to do the...
Never heard of anyone waiting to turn on the AC in any vehicle - absurd. The AC is not like your heating system which uses engine coolant that the engine must heat up before you will get any heat. The AC begins working immediately when the engine starts and the compressor starts turning...
I bought some aftermarket rubber door sill seals for my 2004 and they came with no instructions. I'm not sure if they belong near the inside or outside and which side of the seal belongs inside and outside. Anyone know for certain, or has anyone installed them so that they keep the door sills...
I agree that the Bose is rather poor. The system seems to be under powered and the range of adjustability of the tone is as poor as the AM radios of the 1950s.
I have had a pair of those aftermarket rubber door moldings that fit on the underside of each door to keep moisture out for over 3 months now. No instuctions came with the moldings and I'm not sure where they fit. Anyone have any photos or advice/
I have three.
They are essential on a larger boat where you travel on bigger waters. They are wonderful for running a boat at night and following a safe course you set in the daytime, rather than creeping around hoping not to hit an obstacle. Try running 50 miles on a big lake full of islands...
What was the question? Oh yea, I really like what I have and so does everyone else except those that bought some other aftermarket brand. I have GHL Bullets with quad 3.5" bullseyes nicely set off by a SS exhaust plate and my vanity tag "WAYCOOL". My corvette club kind of hangs with a hot rod...
Last weekend in a caravan to a car show I thought I saw a couple of MY Vettes coming from the other direction on the expressway. As I got closer I saw they were yellow sand barrels at the end of a bridge railing. By the way, I do like MY.
I pay no attention whatsoever to green and brown...
Best wishes for a rapid recovery. I am still suffering from constant shoulder pain and restricted movement as a result of nerve trama from a rollover 7 months ago. I keep thinking it will be OK in a month or two.
Last Saturday was the "Corvette Celebration" show in Searcy, AR. There were 78 Corvettes in the show (mostly C5s of course). Our club showed 20 Corvettes and won the participation award for the 9th consecutive show. We also took home about half the awards.
I thought my car was spotless, but...
I run with a club named FAST GLASS CORVETTES out of Jonesboro, AR with about 50 members and at our monthly meeting this week it was announced that at the last EIGHT consecutive car shows at which members of our club participated, our club won the plaque for most cars in the show. We are going to...
Power is all about moving the most air/fuel mix (and sometimes the most potent mix).
Most of the challenges we get from Mustangs in my area are on high speed roads, so the 2.78 stock rear end is best. The only place you'll se a Mustang when you're doing 175mph is in the rear view mirror. The...
