My headers have extra bolt holes on the engine block on both front and rear of each manifold. Anyone else have this? I bought this car over 2 years ago and haven't noticed anything that was not stock. The manifolds are rusty but the rest of the exhaust system has always looked good as new and I...
Me neither!
add this -
Let's see how many times we can bend this body panel back and forth before it breaks!!
Do they even know how to take the panel off? Would you ever do that on your car??? Disgusting :cry

Why the extra bolt holes?
This thread sparked my curiousity. My headers have extra bolt holes on the engine block on both front and rear of each manifold. Anyone else have this? I bought this car over 2 years ago and haven't noticed anything that was not stock. However, the exhaust system...
I picked my 10 year old daughter up from school yesterday. When we got home, she asked if she could take the Vette to College. She said she would take care of it and wash it every day! :L

Only 80 !????
Yes 80, but I've had it up to a whole 95 since then! :L
Thanks for the reminder - It's been awhile since I've made a high speed run.

I just went through all this...
I'm putting this here for the benefit of others reading this thread. I had the same symptoms and using sticky weights on the inside of the wheel well solved it.

You can have both
I can't remember if I was reading about it on the internet or a car magazine, but there are pipes that have a movable baffle in them to create backpressure for low end torque and then open up to remove the restriction for high end flow.

I don't think I'll ever buy a new car again (the three vehicles I have were bought used and paid early). I should be able to save money now so the next buy won't be so bad. I am diligent with maintenance and constantly look for trouble. I'm afraid electronics are going to bite me down the...
Wanted to share the joy -
I payed off my loan early last month and then went to visit family out of state. Hooray for overtime in 2004. When I came back, I had the title for the lien release and yesterday I finally got to drive it for the first time since I paid it off and it really did feel...
I bought a beautiful LT4 car 2 years ago
Ditto.
I got the car I dreamed about for decades and I got a performance car in excellent condition for about 1/2 the new price ( a price that I don't want to afford). I don't look at the money I've lost since I bought it, I see the money I saved by...
So sad! So glad!
Not rubbing it in, but very happy to be able to drive year around here. Drove to work last week at night with the top off. The only thing special I do for the winter is put the clear top on because I can't use it in the summer with the heating from the sun!

Go Chris Go!!! I've had mine for 2 years with just under 50K miles. Excellent car! Like to see another LT4 in area. I'm 50 miles south of Houston. Let me know if you're in the area.

I have one on top of the gas tank on the passenger side, but it's under the metal band and I can't pull it out without ripping it. One way to get a look at it is to take the rear license plate off.
