Any good places for finding exhaust systems?

I used the hangers that came w/ the Magnaflows. They are L-shaped and I bent them a little in order to get the mufflers to suck up under the car like I wanted. I (now) have longtube headers w/ no cats going into the stock resonator & out to the Magnaflow system. Sounds great...I don't plan on...

90 6-spd gearshift knob, how to?

Firsthand from the ZF Doc: Pull the top off, stand w/ one foot on each sill, lock onto it w/ a good pair of vise-grips and do the hokey pokey...:L Other than the hokey pokey part...that is how he's removes them. :dance Jeff

    take the quiz

BINGO! ;) You are a Chevrolet Corvette! You're a classic - powerful, athletic, and competitive. You're all about winning the race and getting the job done. While you have a practical everyday side, you get wild when anyone pushes your pedal. You hate to lose, but you hardly ever do.

Any good places for finding exhaust systems?

My system is part#15623 (92-96) The system you will need is part#15658 (86-91) http://www.performancepeddler.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=MAG15658 You will pay much less than the advertised price...just call them. I'm guessin' you can get it for around $500 shipped.

My dilemma. Should I buy rims in pairs?

Although I haven't always been this way w/ my car much to Lisa's chagrin, as long as they are still available and the price is the same I would wait and buy the set in March. It would be different if you were putting them on the car right away but since you are waiting to install regardless then...

    "The Claw" Vindicated

Cool, I knew it had more than just visual/aural appeal. Although I have one, I've always kinda kept my mouth shut during the "debates" as I had no proof of any gains. It was one of my 1st mods and although I liked the look and the sound, I did feel a sotp difference when I added it - albeit I...

    Bottoming Out

If they are original w/ close to 100k on 'em it may be time... You should be able to feel if they are worn and also see some signs of leaking on the shocks themselves. That may not be the problem though. Maybe your exhaust hangers (or the bolts that hold the pipes up) have come loose over time...

    Front Spoiler

Although I do what I can, being lowered, my front air-dam scrapes periodically. As long as it's not metal that I hear no big deal. If the need arises, they are cheap to replace. I would not remove it.

    Bottoming Out

Worn shocks can cause the car to sit lower hence the "bottoming out". As to what is hitting, I'd recommend stopping as soon as you hear the sound and looking under the car. Usually the front air-dam is the first thing to scrape but if you're hearing metal then... Usually something up front will...

    The B&M is in!

Part# 163 0055 btw...Yes, the stock knob will fit the B&M. I just liked the look/feel of the Hurst...kinda racy.

    Headlights

I just put the Silverstars in mine too...definite improvement. Need to do the fogs now so they match the headlights. Do they make a fog bulb that is complimentary to the Silverstar? Jeff :w

    The B&M is in!

Bill B. the ZFDoc had the knob. I have the package @ home, I'll post the part # tomorrow. I like the look & feel so I really don't care if it's a B&M w/ a Hurst knob. You need to contact Bill. You can get his # from www.zfdoc.com He can explain in detail what the "mod" is but let me tell you...
