Cross-drilled/slotted rotors for a '96

Sawblades will not clear the C5 calipers and bracket.

You are correct, I was on the phone with a friend that has a 1988 C4 with larger brakes and the 13 ich rotors and caliper will not clear a stock C4 wheel.(older C4's)Call AFS in California or find their web site and they will help you. Autumn Fleet Sales (AFS) sold me four ZR1 replics for my wifes TA 9.5 front with 275/17 tires and 11 inch and 315/17 tires for the rear and they clear just fine and do not stick out in the rear. They also helped my neighbor as he too changed his 86 C4 to larger brakes so they can help you with the clearence problem even if you do not buy from them. Just ask what off set and wheel Dia. that you will need and buy what ever wheel you want with this information. Hope this was a help. Save The Wave :-)

Don't forget about the wheels needed for C5 brakes! You have to replace stockers.

Merry Christmas!

He has 17 inch ZR1 wheels there will not be a clearence problem. As thay were made for 13 inch rotors.

I believe the 275/40/17's were optional starting in '88, right?

I think so, but I will have to check as I got a really cool book about C4 Corvette's for Christmas and it shows what GM did as far as what upgrades the did for each year. I know the C4's from the early 90's that had the LT1 all had 17 inch wheels but not sure about the tire size as my 96 LT4 with J55 13 inch rotors have 255/45/17 front and 285/40/17 rear that are stock tire sizes from GM. I wish sometimes I had 275's on all fours so I could rotate for more miles as my wifes TA has the same problem and my tire bill every two years is a bummer but worth it as we waited many years raising kids so we could go middle age Hot Rod crazy :-) The Fiske FM10 wheels were on the 96 Vette when I purchased it in 1999. I wish I had the 11 rears intead of the 10 inch as I wanted 315's on back like my TA has know. They really do bite a little better annd they look Tuff.

Well, I ordered them. WTH...can't beat that price. 90 day guarantee - which isn't alot but enough to insure they are not warped. They ship out of CA. so I should have them in a few days! Should be a nice addition to the car...

Jeff,
Didk you ever get these rotors installed onto your car yet?
