I'm new to the forum so please be kind for my ignorance. I have a Big Block Holly Street Dominator low rise aluminum manifold. It has a Winters casting mark in the front by the stat housing. It was on a 427cid that I was told came out of a 1969 Corvette. Can anyone give me some more information on the intake?

It seems to indicate that Winters Foundry cast these manifolds for Holley. Winters cast parts for a lot of different companies that needed foundry services. It wasn't just a GM supplier. More than likely they just produced raw castings that were shipped to their customer for finish machining.

Thanks Tom, That makes sense. I've never seen another one and nobody I know has seen one. Definitely perfect for a 427 Vette.

Welcome to the forum. No worries — that’s exactly the kind of question folks here like digging into.

The Winters “snowflake” mark generally means the casting was done by Winters Foundry, which supplied a lot of aluminum castings to GM and aftermarket companies. Holley used Winters for some of their aluminum intakes, so the mark by itself doesn’t make it a factory Corvette intake. A Holley Street Dominator low-rise is an aftermarket intake, commonly used on big block Chevys for street/strip builds.

If you can post a few clear photos — top, underside, casting/part numbers, carb pad, and the Winters mark — that would help narrow down the exact version and approximate era. Also check for any Holley part number cast or stamped into it.
