It's been years since I had a car painted and have no idea how much it should cost!
I know there are many variables, you got the $500 Earll Scheib special to the $10k paint jobs (I still don't understand how it could cost $10k)
What I am looking for is a very nice NCRS quality paint job. I am...
Really? I don't get that feeling from any Vette owner new or old if they are car guys! There is a group I think that buys a vette as a status thing or think they are cool. Now that rub's me a little :)

My gut says NO! However, with the advances in technology they can get plenty of snort out of a 6. A twin turbo would be cool.
No, it just wouldn't be a Vette without a narly V8 :happyanim:

I attended the Phoenix race and Ford had their new 13 Cup car, a Mustang! At first I thought it was a Nationwide car but the placard said 2013 Cup Car. So I just assumed the 13 Chev would be a Camaro? :ugh They do have a new 13 Caprice for law enforcement.
Go Vega!

Yes. When the car was restored the latch mechanism on the pass side was out of alignment. When you realign you have one shot (you shut the hood and hope it opens) it didn't, My dumb fault. So once I got it open I went the other direction with the latch and now it's perfect.

OK, I'm a ex Chevrolet dealer. Here's the scoop. Keep in mind that the new cars they have are "floor planned" meaning they don't have their cash in them, they are only paying interest! So any volume dealer should sell you a new car at invoice or a little over (don't forget to research and ask...
Very cool, I have been thinking of a new one as well, Carlisle Blue W/ Red Int! But would need to sell both my 87 Callaway & 68 Big Block to do it :ugh
But then I see the 427 Convert, OH that would be cool too! Too many choices.

When I was in my 20's I allways drove vette's they were cheap then, and you are correct, life situation! No more vette's, 5 kids later grown up and gone. Now I'm 52 have a C3 & C4. Will have to get a C5 or skip a generation to go C6. Sure I can swing it but, thats a lot of dough for a car. I'm...
A Volt would be perfect for me but its just too hard to justify for the price - Way too expensive IMHO, Instead we bought a new Fiat 500 for $15k and it gets 40mpg. I can buy a lot of fuel for the $25k I saved!

You sir, are contrary to the norm! Apparently the best trained in your store but look around, not just at your dealership, but dealership's as a whole. Corvette deserves a better distribution system than it currently has. Chevrolet does not have a lot of control over how individual store...
